Wicklow is a lovely place and not far from Dublin, 30 - 40 minutes
If you're a motorsport fan - the Donegal Rally is on this weekend
Its a bit of a trek from Dublin though - but on the plus side, you'll see some lovely scenery on the way.
Hurling is quite simply nuts at Mus described.
If you like a drink, then try a Guinness while visiting the factory.
Its nothing like that muck they serve up on the mainland
By the way - Dublin is still stupidly expensive and they still fail to understand that their economy is fcuked
