Can you compare what the 490lb ft 'feels' like? I may have the wrong perception but i thought with that torque it would feel anything but smooth, i was once in an E92 Dakar M3 and wasn't impressed, it was way too smooth and i thought this was partly due to it only having 290 odd lb ft. I know it makes its power way up the rev range.

Correct my thinking if its wrong please as i dont want to waste money on the wrong setup.
Big torque 2.5 feels effortless, like it takes it all in its stride and 'does it' without having to thrash it within an inch of its life...

Surely a well mapped car is super smooth - think of a space rocket launching lol.

V quick through the gears, certainly fast but not on a jagged edge - more like the old "iron fist in a velvet glove" synonym.

Really a lot of it is down to driving style I guess.....

If you want 'manic' then get a high revving 2.0 or 2.1.

What other supporting mods are on the car to give you that figure. I've gotta say they are outstanding figures from a vf48. Thinking of a possible upgrade from a vf35 on a newage sti, or the sc36 looks tempting.
