I don't like trusting the inside puller with the cancel option you can end up locked out going through the rear seats!
Obvious when you tell me, and makes sense of course. I removed mine on my spoilerless bootlid and just wondered if the classic ones were different.

Cheers

I'll update James's thread for him as he is a bit under the weather bless his little cotton top

We got the high build on the shell/doors flatted today and I am happy with how they look and feel now, there were a few dents and previous repairs that needed attention to bring them up to standard.
Next job was to bowl her outside to give the engine a chemical wash as it was looking a bit sorry for itself and also in preparation for James new coolant hose set to be installed, looks a lot better now.
We then brought her back inside and removed the doors and mounted them on the stands ready to paint which then allowed good access to the door shuts for preping for paint which put the shell ready for a good clean down and painting which will be tomorrow.
Last job of the day was to get some paint on the doors which went well,I have added some red pearl to James's factory colour so in the sunlight it should have a little flip tone, only subtle but just enough I reckon.

All this practice and you're turning into a half decent painter - I'll have to bring mine back for you to do a decent job this time

So today Ryan got some of the panels into the booth for painting!

There was the sunroof/bonnet vents/bonnet scoop/rear light sections/boot lid/bonnet/grille and side skirts.

It's all turned out really nice and he's very happy with the results!

He also managed to get the doors mounted back to the car, along with placing the wings in place with 2 bolts, ready to adjust them when he bolts the bonnet in place.

After the panels had gone off he got them out of the booth and loaded up again with the next run, ready to clean down in the morning and paint them also. There's only the bumpers/mirrors and spoiler left to paint now so getting there!

Once the car is assembled which will be early next week it will be left to stand for a week to fully harden before machine polishing. As I don't require the car until the 26th of next month, and there's also a few mechanical jobs left to do yet as well...

Looking absolutely gorgeous!.
Project creep is an absolute nightmare, and most of the time i can sustain the ideas and focus on saving. Then on mornings i get up with my daughter i see your handy work Ryan and that all goes out the window.

We'll have to talk at some point Ryan .
