really looking forward to it especially if the weather holds off
got a street party planned for the afternoon and all the neighbours are removing all the connecting fence panels to have a garden party later
me and the missus brewed 80 bottles of Jubilee Wheat beer and Jubilee Pilsener in preparation

Well thanks very much to the British weather, never fails to p1ss it down when you have outdoor activities to do.
Its like its almost punishing us for having a bit of good weather last week. How they can say this country is in a drought is beyond me..I suppose i'll have to put my winter gear on and crack on with it,at least women wearing short skirts won't become a distraction ..

So, today is 59 years since the Coronation. It's also 34 years since I was married to my lovely wife. Didn't realise when we got married that it was on the Silver anniversary of the Coronation .
Street party tomorrow here.

I caught today's Thames clebrations 'live' on telly. I was very sorry for the Queen as she had to stand in the pouring rain and cold, having to wave to all the boats. I caught Prince harry picking his nose, Queen's husband also wiped his nose on his white glove, and then he was checking it with his eyes. Minging! It was lashing down there, but apparently 1.5 million (or was it 2.5?) people were there in central London to attend the celebrations. Royal navy Flypast was cancelled and all due to bad weather. I so admire Queen's tolerance levels. The boat cirens were deafening, and the rain with freezing winds seemed terrible. The lady had to put up with all that. She has another two days to go yet. She must be well hard. Hope the weather picks up. Hats off to her for her sense of duty.

Well, me and the missus got very wet - but I wouldnt have missed it for the world - managed to blag our way into the private Tower Hotel promenade and watched it riverside - when we got to security the guy asked us for our room key card as proof - I pointed at some old couple already in the enclosure and told him we were staying in a suite and my parents had the key - so he waved us through lol - thank god he did because it was mobbed everywhere and you couldnt get near the river!!
We ended up with the most unbelievable views of the river and Tower Bridge and the Spirit of Chartwell moored right next to us so as the boats passed her we got the full monty for the queen!
However, the queues just to get in the tube stations to get home I can do without again - chaos!!

It was a delight to see how well the whole affair went off. My respect for the Queen can only get even higher to see how she stuck it out for so long on a disappointing day with the weather and she stood the whole way too. Takes a bit of doing at her age.
The attendance and full support by so many thousands on a miserable day for weather is a demonstration of the support for the monarchy and the love which people feel for the Queen especially for her performance and unstoppable sense of duty towards this country and her people for so many years.
Long may she continue.

Was just saying this today, Les. The Country might be on the bones of it's ***, with people detesting the Politicians, but the amount of flags on cars, bunting and general attitude of people towards the Queen is fantastic.
She's wonderful

Well I can confirm where I live in the South East is the most miserable place in the country, popped into town today thinking there would be stuff going on in the town and you wouldn't even know it was the Jubilee, not even a single bit of bunting This weekend where we are it might not as well have existed, the only way to tell is watching the TV. I'm disappointed for my kids more than anything although at least they had a Jubilee party day last week at primary school.
