No Boost
Just to confirm, when you rev the car, the dump valve shuts then opens a little as the revs drop, is that correct?
When I took it off and cleaned, the valve springs back nicely so I assume its ok.
Just so I know, what's the worst scenario here? Presumably a blown turbo? How much are they? Is it a big job? Do turbos go often?
Cheers

Did u tried with wastegate? Usually is not dieing in 1 moment... It starts to get weaker... Start leaking oil... Dump valve is shutted... than with preasure opens to release air and than shutts...
Update !
I took off the boost solenoid, tested it with a 12v supply and all worked perfectly. Cleaned it anyway, disconnected the battery whilst doing this, all back together and its working fine!
Not sure if it was the boost solenoid or the battery disconnection or just coincidence ?
The car does seem a little lumpy off boost but once past 3000 it flies, could this be because I reset the ECU?
Duncan's back from Cyprus tomorrow so he said he would give me a call to go through it.

Update.
Met up again with Duncan on tuesday so he could check everything through. Sod's law, the car was running well at the time!
Everything looked ok but he reckons the rattle / knock is my up pipe, possibly confusing the ecu which then retards the timing to compensate which would explain the intermittent problem.
Im off down to Triton next Wedensday to have an STI up pipe fitted, Duncan will be there and will check it out again once the up pipe is fitted.
Hopefully it will solve the problem, if not it seems worth doing anyway for a quicker spool up.
Big thanks to Duncan for all his help!
