Type R is a completely different kettle of fish to a UK turbo, much more than just the engine.
Type R's are at a point now where they are more affordable than ever, I'd be buying one rather than messing around with yours. You can't polish a turd as they say, lol.
Not saying a uk turbo is a turd though, but it's no type R that's all.

Its far cheaper to buy a type r than mess around swapping all the bits to yours and at the end of it all yours will still be a uk 2000 4 door unless you weld up the rear doors lol. There are plenty of bargains to be had especially if you go for a version 3/4 they are now going for around £4-5k. I know of one thats only going for £3.5k.
