What a tremendous video. Really enjoyed watching it, it's obvious that she loved you and certainly enjoyed her life. I lost my dog 2 years ago, after 11 years together, so fully understand how you feel :-(

Well done for rescuing her and bring the happiness back.

I am very sorry to hear about you having to do that. I would be just as heartbroken and I don't really know how I could bring myself to do it.

Thanks for the kind words guys, getting up this morning was grim, no Sue taking up the whole damn bed, no Sue in the bathroom bugging me while I try to get ready... no walk up the prom before work and worst of all... The total silence.

I get her ashes back on Thursday and Nicole (My Ex Wife), Mandy and I will be scattering her ashes in the sea, her favourite place.

Rest In Peace old Girl.

Its an awful thing to do.
I had to do it with my 14year old border collie about 10 years ago.
In the vets, he sat in front of me, gave me a paw and put his head on my lap until we were called.
I stayed with him while the vet did what he had to do, I distinctly remember the vet letting me out the side door as I was a mess basically.

I know EXACTLY how you're feeling. It's still hurting after one and a half years and this thread just brought it all flooding back.

Really sorry for your loss buddy.

Had to do it myself last year, my 11 year old German Shepard Zeke.
Big daft sod he was but never any sort of bother.

I do miss him dearly and just like Sue he was given Christmas presents and dinner and birthday gifts to. Brilliant watching rip apart the paper.

Terrible thing to have to decide, but to end their suffering its the best thing.

RIP Suzie.

Made me cry at work; reminds me hold poor little Millhouse the cat and feeling him relax in my arms for the last time. His brother Burns is still going strong at 15 but I dread the day.

Best wishes Stu, she was obviously a happy girl and well loved friend

I won't be watching the video as I'm supposed to be working and will end up blubbing like a baby.

As a dog lover who recently went through similar, and as so many have already said, I know how you're feeling and it's not nice.

RIP Sue

Myself, the missus and my ex wife went down to her favourite beach tonight and scattered her ashes into the sea at sunset.

This nice verse came with her ashes:

R.I.P old girl. x
