Yea but with a spoiler you'll get lost in the sea of others, without you'll stand out and get noticed more
Think of the huge power to weight ratio gains as well, you might even be able to keep up with the ' bigger boys ' ...lol....

I bought the trumpet off eBay and then modified it to fit with the lights. Was a bit of a ball ache but end result is good I reckon.

Sorry chap, only just seen your posts.
I replaced the outer lamps with crystal ones from eBay. The take normal H4 bulbs so you have hi and low beam.
Your normal bulb plug just fits them like normal, no wiring needed.

think of the car as a whole, as a wing. if you look at it from the side, you will notice it roughly looks like an aerofoil. (flat-ish on the bottom and curved on the top)
the theory of lift states that if you increase air speed over the top relative to the bottom then you will produce lift, which is exactly what most road cars do
a spoiler spoils airflow (hence the name) going over the top, so reduces lift

You'd be surprised mate, my engine temps were considerably lower in all conditions after fitting them,
And who cares about a little bit of drag when you've got over 400bhp in a 1200kg classic
The bloody great scoop on an imprezas bonnet is what causes drag, reverse scoop or vent like mine is the way forward.
