Yep, the two go hand in hand. But the question is, is that really required on a road car ?
All these cars you see where the owners have bolted huge spoilers to their cars have done it for one reason, the look. They like the 'look' of their car with a huge spoiler. I like the 'look' of no spoiler so just unbolted it, lol.
Track car is a different story because they are constantly cornering at huge speeds, speeds which we will never do on a public road.

But how often can we corner at those speeds on a public highway ?
I've only noticed it not being on a couple of times when really moving on a long sweeping bend. The car didn't feel unstable at all but just a little lighter on the back end.

Oh I completely agree buddy, even the mid level classic spoilers create downforce if your going fast enough.

think you would have to be doing silly speeds to notice it.
yours suits the spoilerless look anyway.
so whats the next mod now its finished?

im quite sure german drivers on an autobahn might say they are of great benefit. they are of no practical use at all while standing still or slow speeds.

I really wouldn't read too much into it buddy. If you like the look of a spoiler then fair play.
For me, personally, I don't like them on a classic and haven't encountered any advantage from using one on the road.
As they say, each to there own and all that.
And anyway buddy, your car ain't fast enough to need a spoiler, Hahahahahahaha......
