Hmmm, iirc last week we had about 3 of these spaced about 10 mins apart, at first i thought something had crashed outside as i felt it in the house, i looked out the window and everybody at the rugby training ground next door was just looking about going "wtf?"

The missus asked what it was, no idea.

The next one came, she asked what it was, i had no idea, figured it was the bloke next door either ****ing up some DIY or falling down the stairs, after the third one, we went outside on the bikes and never heard any more.

I had not even given a plane/sonic boom a thought until i saw this thread.

It would seam strange that we had one eariler, might google that.

Quite right, it is not normally allowed overland, correctly too, because it would be unnecessarily alarming since it can be a very loud bang.
