This is a great thread!

What off set are the 18's to get the arches filled at the back. I like the STI look best and not so much the lense tinting etc. I'll prob eventually go 18's and an STI or 270 spoiler. I like the 270 18's best i think but they look hard to clean!!

Here's mine. Picking it up tomorrow from having remap and decat pipe!!

Looks smart! Liking the wheels too

Yep well excited. Had a few running problems with it though with engine hesitation so hoping the remap etc will sort it!

Also noticed my Turbo to intercooler pipe has some tape etc wrapped round it. I'm told this is normal but seems odd? Anyone else got this?

My headlight leveller light is on and i hear a squeeling noise unless i gently press the clutch (then it goes away!)

Otherwise an ace car!!

who's doing the work and mapping? Any good mapper will see any possible issues, so no worries

If the turbo pipe has a crack that could cause hesitation. Doesn't sound right to have tape round it, mine didn't have tape. I'd get that changed if I were you.

Also sounds like your clutch release bearing is going. Means you will need a new clutch at some point. If its not slipping, then don't worry about it. Turn the music up or get a louder exhaust to drown it out! haha

Nice car!

Mine had tape round it. Replaced the three intercooler pipe work with Samco hoses...seemed to sharpen up the car a reasonable amount (that and a Pro R / Pipercross air filter)

Cheers for the info chaps. I've been looking at samco hoses on ebay. Will have to wait until funds allow though now!
Scooby clinic are mapping it.
Just my luck...The clutch has gone on my last two cars, just after remapping!

Gparts was knocking out the proper set for £100, £25 less than everywhere else. Free postage too.
I managed to get a Prodrive back box, Samco hoses and Pro R filter for about £350 quid...all brand new !

Got it back. Very pleased. Hesitation has gone after its remap, decat and decent fuel. Here's what it made...Fairly healthy i'd say! Especially the torque!

Tempted to get mine done after those results, especially the hesitation fix - mine has that currently as well, which is bugging me a bit. Mine's pretty standard apart from a back box and hi flow panel filter; was going to get it mapped on 95 RON to give me a wider choice of fuel, do you think that's worth doing or should I stick to tesco 99 ?

Get it done, you wont be disapointed, and defo run it on tesco momentum or shell v-power.

It won't map on 95, or at least you won't get enough improvement out of it to warrant the cost. You need to run it on Shell or Tesco, which alone helps the hesitation. The problem is the low octane causing the ECU to retard and therefore the hesitation apparently. If you run a few tanks of Tesco 99 through it you'll notice lots of difference before you map it, smoother and more potent.
After the map, its amazing. Bloody fast but smooth and quiet! Trouble is, brakes are poor now!!
The throttle is much more sensitive so have to be more delicate at town speeds.
Happy now! Feels like it should have come from the factory!
Still think my M3 was faster though
