Ah good, don't know why i didn't see that
More than happy for you to take the lead, as you seem to know your way about, also may have me mum in the car and the less stressed i am the less bad language she'll have to hear
It wasn't a paper map , i got it from a website about Brighton pier, but hey ho, gonna stop stressing about it now, wait till tomorrow
I plan to get to lakeside about 9.30, which in reality means i'll be there about 9.45

No probs You don't need that stress with your mum in car , Just enjoy the ride and follow another scoob
i was doing the google street view of devils dyke road , i didn't realize that it's the road from the classic scene in quadophina where there all on there scooters going to brighton , and they stop on that road , and look over to brighton , i've always wondered where that was
see ya all 2moro

As it turns out my mum isn't coming after all, so just me and my son, which is stress enough in itself
I didn't realise that either, and I used to work in the hospital on Dyke Road and live in a turning off it!
Look forward to seeing you all tomorrow

Great day out in Brighton............ big thanks to Ron who despite it being his first meet did a great job leading to Pease Pottage, then was a shame we all get separated on way to Brighton, and getting through the traffic to the car park was a bit of a nightmare, although you three beat us there, you were already parked up when we finally arrived Don't know what happened to the two who got left on A23?
Despite all that had a lovely day, good weather, fun driving through Devil's Dyke, and especially nice to meet some new members Hope the bit of mucking fuddle with the second part of the journey hasn't put you off

Had a great day but Sorry I made a bit hard work getting there as the lead car, and not knowing the route that well and relying on a Sat nav but was a good run to Devil's Dyke and did get to the car park in the end . Nice to meet you all and with perfect weather.
Plus I had a great run home back over Devil's Dyke without any motorway this time.

Next year will make sure ESC are a bit more organised re route etc
The silence of the others is a bit worrying...........are they still roaming around Devil's Dyke

What happened
We came out of pease pottage , due to that bloody boot sale emptying out , we all got a bit separated
But as i was going down the a23 , the turning that i thought we was supposed to be taking was about 8 miles down from pp services
Sooooo plenty of time to re-group i thought
Then i noticed your car lorraine. half way up the slip road off the 1st exit after pp services
I thought sh@t !! no way i could turned off without causing a accident also i stiil had 4 scoobies following me
so we continued down the a23 till the ' Hickstead showjumping exit ' And took the route as planned , had a blast through devils dyke ( which was WOW ) , Then we parked up at the car park at the end of devils dyke , and waited there for 15 mins to see if the rest of ya would show ya faces
But after that , and no sign of ya , so we just headed off into brighton. as my kids were moaning they wanted to get in that sea ASAP , and we couldn't hear a scooby for miles around
Yep maybe some better route planning next time , not sure where that member from the south east scooby club took ya , but it wasn't what was planned
Well i'm not put off It was great fun blasting down the motorway with other sccobs
Just wished we could of all stayed as a group for a bit longer
Oh well better planning next year eh
Looking forward to meeting you's lot again
Great bunch of guys QUALITY
Soooooo Looking forward to the tunnel run ! After what some of you were saying about it ! I seriously can't wait for that event
Thanks lorraine for compliments on taking the lead ! I should have stayed lead, but hey ho, we thought the local boys knew where they were going

I do take the blame for this, if I hadn't been wuss-y about taking the lead, I wouldn't have passed it on to someone else and caused this. Steve (not his fault at all ) didn't have a copy of the route I had posted so was using his sat nav , which unfortunately took us a different way I was in a dilemma as to whether to follow or not, but obviously did, hoping we would all hook up again over Devil's Dyke, but it was not to be
So i do apologise, also to the two we left behind on the A23 back from Devil's Dyke
Next time will do it better, also this Saturday's Posers Cruise will be fine, we all usually manage to stay together pretty much there
Prob won't be on site for a bit, poxy rabbit chewed through the internet cable at home so am doing this from work
Sorry again everybody

I think it's great we can all get together from different groups for days out like this
Hope to do the same thing again next year ( If Wongy lets me have anything to do with it ) but maybe we'll get some directions printed off for everybody so we all know where we're heading and can hopefully stay together better
