Been using this for a while now, not that impressed with the catalogue really. Most of it is sh1te.

 

Well as usual the robbing scottish/indian *******s were no help.

Conversation went along the lines of me asking for an upgrade box.
Now bearing in mind, their website shows 3 distinct boxes.
1. Black Sky+ box
2. Black Sky+HD box
3. Black Sky + HD1TB box

The helpful agent informed me I cant have the Sky+ box as they dont do them anymore. Okay their website must be out of date.

Fair enough I say, whats the best deal ?

Well, my choices it seems are either order an upgrade to the sky+hd box but have to subscribe to the HD channels for an extra £10 a month or just buy the box itself from somewhere and then ask them to sync the card and not pay a monthly extra £10.

will have to see if I can find a cheap HD box then

oh and Ron, she had no idea if the old HD boxes would work and she was clueless on how to migrate the content from old +box to new one.
Gotta love them

 

Migrating the content - It can be done, but do you really need to?

I couldn't be bothered when I upgraded to the 1Tb box.
I just told the missus to hurry up and watch whatever she needed, and not to bother recording anymore until I installed the new box.

 

Not too fussed either way as we can simply move the old sky+ box into the bedroom as part of the multiroom deal.

Just dont want to be fleeced into paying another £10 a month as I already pay £51 and that feels like too much
