At £40 each, its totally unacceptable and I cant believe huge companies like EA just release pish like this and think its fine.
Crysis is worth every penny and probably cheap now too. The whole series is, so treat yourself to Crysis 1 as well as the 2nd one will make far more sense.
Download the high res textures pack and DX11 pack too if you have a suitable card, they make a huge difference to the graphics. Its still the most beautifull game around,although battlefield 3 is close.

EA are a law onto themselves stu, mass effect 3 is a good case in point. they seem to think that customers will bend to there will.
As you say the qulity in games seems to have taken a dive, free to play online games seem to be the only things that are beign released regularly, but excluding as few there all the same but cloned, mainly wow clones. Ths that come out that look good are so short it begs the question whats the point, 8hrs is way too short for a game.

Going off topic a bit so apologies.
Feel very much the same Stu re: games. Focusing on consoles to me seems a backward step but thats where the money is apparently. Space Marine is OK but I can't play it for long, same with Aliens V Predator. Played the first Mass Effect but that got a bit tedious towards the end "I should go"
Best recent game I've played is Deus Ex.
I have Crysis 1 which was great until the aliens appeared. Ordered 2 last night.
I'm sure you know the STALKER series, Lost Alpha is hopefully going to get a release later this year and should be stunning.

Since I had a few days off ive been playing, so have upgraded the monitors to 120HZ BenQ gaming versions, added another SSD, a 512gb Vertex 4, swopped the ram out for 8gb of 2133 stuff and changed the processor for a 3770K.
No doubt I will now spend the next week looking at BSOD's and HWbot screens, so for now, Call of duty calls.
