Dont blame him to be honest with you Kev, finding out that you dont have a rare 320ps factory car (1 of 400) but instead you have a Prodrive edition which is based on the normal STI and not a Spec C (280ps) though still 1 of 1000 produced, is a bit of a kick in the nuts (and you have just lost about 4-5k off the value). It will fetch a little more due to it being a limited factory edition, but no where near as much as an S202 (though most people have pointed out alot of the goodies that come with the S202, I dont think anyone mentioned all the pink STI suspension parts).

As a potential buyer for a newage (JDM blobeye STI with PPP from recomendation off yourselves in fact!) i'm constantly reading other ads to gain more info on all the different models/special editions etc and an insight into the market.
And I must say its VERY reassuring to see SN members taking a real interest in the cars that are sold on here. As a newbie (had I been interested in a blob eye) I may well have read the description and got myself a little excited at finding a "rare" version for sale.
You guys have saved other newbies (albeit with a little bit of a flaming for the OP lol) from possibly making the same mistake as the OP and purchasing a car that isn't what it was sold as (although not the fault of the OP it seems). So thank you for inadvertently helping us newbies progress our knowledge and safely search for our perfect scoob

I'm a newbie and after reading this post i think the guy has just been a little
naive / green.I don't think he was out to sting anyone,he is the only loser here unfortunatley.
I must admitt though, what a lovely looking motor.I would be
proud to own it.Hope everything turns alright for you mate.

Bug RA, Spec C and S202 used the phase 1 bodyshell which had the radio mast in the a-pillar.
The STi variants all used phase 2 bodyshell with the radio mast in the rear window.
Not much structually different in the bare shel for either LOL

See below for probs the best S202 to ever grace SN. Was owned by Rasher and sold a few years back for a pretty penny.
