Guys I'm sure I am known well enough on here to comment on the thread as an impartial guy, but I can confirm that Oracle is a genuine chap and isn't on here to try and scam anyone. I can confirm that he genuinely thought the car was a S202, and nothing else but an S202!

Guys please lay off the guy, he made a genuine mistake and hasn't said anything beyond being "educated" to argue back

Rob

Thanks guys for the support I just feel that it's a real shame that a few have completly slated this thread and new members too .....

I am relatively new to this and all forums for that matter and it is not pleasant to be slated and accused of things by the so called "backbone" members ... This does nothing to encourage new members to the forum or even keep members on this forum , if they are being accused of things on their first few posts, people need to come down off their pedistalls and get in touch with reality and realise that there is people who want to become part of something and that they don't know everything !!!
Once again thank you to everyone who has constructively added to this thread and who has been of help .

To the op - we see many instances of scoobs advertised as something they are not (mostly on ebay) such as excessive hp or a rare model etc. All you are seeing here is the backlash to it - keep calm & carry on ...

+1 unfortunate timing. Hope the info I posted was useful. To be fair it's the first Prodrive JDM I have seen on snet. That's not to say it's worth thousands, but it does look nice and is a nicer than the norm car to own

Such a shame it's not an S202 but it's a nice car nonetheless, ok it won't be worth as much but it'll still make a good purchase for a lucky purchaser.

Here's a pic or two of my S202

Why are people ripping into Oracle just because he made a mistake with identifying the car? He has obviously been mislead buy the previous owner and i find it a bit unfair that everyone has jumped in and slated him for it!

With respect Rob given the number of scammers and general scumbags who have been using Scoobynet as a happy hunting ground, I stand by my earlier cynicism. However if you say the bloke is on the level then fair enough, although he ought to get rid of his alter ego.

400 made, probably worth between £8-10k depending on condition - total figure plucked out of the air of course

If you read the thread its fine up to the point where his previous post is linked and quoted by me saying - "check the VIN do your research".

Now hang on a second. Someone talks about research and checking VIN numbers and even from looking at the car you could tell it wasn't an S202.

So which is it? He did the research and still managed to c*ck it up? Or he was trying it on?

As for the lynch mob comments, its an internet forum FFS. Public lynching on the internet came at the same time as **** on the internet so its hardly new.

HTH

hello mate,
ok so the guy was perhaps mis-led when origonally he purchased his car. i have the feeling the buck must stop somewhere. the exact truth needs to be known. the poor guy now knows exactly what his car is now. i personally feel very thankful with help from others that no member on here buys a car without knowing EXACTLY what it is... SIMPLE, surely thats the whole point of forums, to help others?!

Yes my S202 was written off two weeks after it was sold.

One of my biggest regrets is selling that car.

Heathen, now wash your mouth out and beg for forgiveness.

It's a lot better than the standard STi offering IMHO.
