Strictly speaking there are not a great deal of rules. The day is run by us. We have the keys, we basically do whatever we want.

You can wear a helmet if you wish, some of us did, some of us didn't last time I went. Extinguisher wise I intend to have one to hand like before, but if you have one in your own car even better.

Rules wise there is only one car allowed to be "driven at speed" on the track at any given time. There is no "drifting" - but none of us will be doing that, a bit of backend action is alright though.

Racing only allowed between 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. Nothing before, nothing between, and certainly nothing after.

Hope that helps

No worries. I would recommend double checking your oil, coolant etc levels. Check your tyre pressures before you come. You may wish to run them a bit lower than you normally would on the road due to the extra heat etc.

Gutted I missed out on this, would deffinately be up for it another time if one is organised. And the WMI timing bored (in a top gear style) would be an ace idea too!

Trackdays aren't allowed to run from the sprint startline, unless they've changed that rule? Also if Dave Pattison finds people timing he won't be too happy.

Plan was any bit of change was to go in the bucket H

Either that or if we go to the pub after to go towards a drink, but I don't think there will be that much

Full sprint course is for 10 or less cars. Even if the timing gear was available (it wasn't last year, and I haven't bothered to ask this time) then we still wouldn't use it because it's just a bit of fun. Rather than worry about how fast they are going, people can just enjoy going round, messing about having a laugh

To be honest Chris, I'm not sure we would get that many interested, it's quite hard getting money out of people these days! Plus competition within a club isn't always the best of ideas, but that's my opinion, and I wouldn't like to speak on behalf H

Reading the thread today sounds like its going to be a blast. H, its hard enough getting out the house with the little one around let alone come to the midlands for the day. Looks like a good turn out so enjoy WMI.

Right, bit of a plan for the day:

First some location details as it's a bit of a pain to find.

Location on Google Maps

On SatNavs it's probably best to put in something like "Netherstowe Lane WS13" as I don't have a complete postcode for it.

If you are racing, please be at the Circuit no later than 9:30am
Track time starts at 10am
Lunch when there is no racing permitted is from 1pm-2pm
Track time continues again from 2:00pm
Track time finishes at 5:00pm

If you are coming to watch, please note that I have to come and open the gate at the front/entrance of the track and so will not be wanting to go back and forth each time someone arrives, so please choose to arrive at one of the following times:

09:30
10:30
11:30
12:30
13:30
14:30
15:30

When you arrive please give me a call/text so I know you're at the gate on 07763616946. Please do not arrive in between these times.

I will be posting details of a local Shell, and pub that we can visit a bit later on.

Thanks
