From: Newcastle. 330bhp-289lb/ft @ 1bar boost - 12.4s @ 105mph
Nothing on Andy's site about the conversion, however;
I've got a thread on 22b.com about FE conversion, Andy's post copied above.
Not sure on the VF equivalent to a 16g, IIRC earlier VF's don't like a lot of boost though.

Extensive research has revealed that the VF35 is a very similar turbo to the TD05-16, apparently spools nice and quick and is capable of 350bhp. The 'perfect turbo for a classic' I seem to remember reading somewhere on here.
However what's better, buying a TD05 then spending a further £60 and getting a conversion kit from AF, or just holding out for a VF35 to show up? I think it will depend on the work involved, is the AF conversion just a different compressor housing or is it a much more in depth job to change it to front entry?

Just found your post on 22b.com, could you let me know what Andy says about the conversion and what's involved? £60 seems quite good if it's the housing as they're about £80 including delivery from Japan for the same thing, if they are the same!
