Level 25 now - not done any enchanting yet - I go to the enchanter and I don't seem to have any enchantments available

Upgraded my double handed perk last night - my first decapitation was a bit graphic - took the guys head clean off!!!!

 

Lol what cart! Oh well was a nice walk although the Sabre Tooth was a pain. Level 18 or something now from doing the speech glitch but at least i've got a house although still only just afforded it.

Now got to read back over this thread to find out about smithing and enchanting daggers as that's my next objective - not doing any of the game at the moment just interested in cash and skills.

Another 3am finish last night

 

take a taxi you tightwad. i got the 100k achievement last night. did the embassy, been to see that dragon at high hrothgar, now looking for the elder scroll. have a guess what was waiting for me after i came out of the trapdoor at the back of the embassy. of course i only had party shoes and party clothes on. luck i had my bow and battle axe. 3 bandits as well as the dragon didn't help either. it was touch and go for a minute or two. did a load of my miscellaneous list yesterday as well a learning a load of new shouts.

 

i cant get soul stealer to work ?

I have a glass axe which does it automatically. All I have to deal the killing blow within 7 seconds of the enchantment hitting home.

 

just got the perk snd starting killing ****, what do i bound the weapons with?

 

you need empty soul gems. you need to enchant the weapon to soul trap alternatively cast a soul trap spell on the creature before you kill it. the weapon will need filled with a soul gem. you can buy filled soul gems in the general store in white run. if you choose the weapon use the right bumper to charge the weapon. dependant on the strength of the soul you might get a dozen soul traps of with a black soul gem with a human soul you might get hundreds.

 

i've got **** loads of fully souls gems , but how do i enchant with soul trap i dont have that option when enchanting.

Are the soul gems full? If so they are ready for enchanting stuff. make a load of iron daggers. take them to an arcane enchanter. it will ask for an item an enchantment and a soul gem. pick a dagger as the item.next pick an enchantment it will allow e.g. frost damage. you will have to specify here if you want more damage with less hits or more hits with less damage.just push the ok button. you now need a soul gem.the better the soul gem the more damage you can do. petty souls are the weakest while human souls are the strongest. when all three, item, enchantment and soul gem have been picked press x to enchant. sell the dagger on for a profit. the wizard in dragonreach sells the soultrap spell if you dont have one

 

I can enchant fine, it's when It come to enchanting with soul trap , I can cast the spell fine.

I read I have to get a certain weapon disenchant it for the soul trap enchantment , then soul stealer wil work

 

ahh right. you want to enchant a weapon like a sword with a soul trap. then yes, sorry, you will need to disenchant a weapon that has a soul trap on it. i thought you already had the soul trap enchantment. you just have the soul trap spell, yes?

I'm in the process of doing the college quest so hopefully I'll come across it

 

I use the Mace of Molag Bal for soul gathering, quest starts in Markath.

I wouldn't dis-enchant it though, I think it's needed for the Oblivion Walker trophy.

Been doing some of the main quest, how fecking big is Blackreach! It's bloody enormous.

 

Just to remind people: you can only enchant items after you have learnt the enchantment, and to learn it, you need to destroy an item which HAS the enchantment at the table.

So if it's something new, don't sell it: disenchant it.

 

i am just outside Blackreach about to go in looking for the Elder Scroll. Bricking myself. big Dwemmer construction

 

I've got the Scroll, but, I'm exploring Blackreach. It's facking huge.

While you are in there you may want to keep an eye out for 10 Dwemmer cogs.

 

After reading this thread I went out and bought the game... It's epic! Haven't had much sleep in the week I've owned it.

decided to leave Blackreach for now and do the thieves Guild Storyline. burning bees and killing mercenaries is fun. as usual a lot of running around getting this and finding that. managed to break into that safe only using 2 lock picks. now that's a result for a master level lock.

 

You can get a skeleton key (unbreakable) lockpick

Can't complete the quest if you keep it though.

Best off using the perks, to unlock unbreakable.

Sinky, when you go back to blackreach, take a pickaxe - there's some Geode(I think there called) ore things that you can mine. They give you various empty soul gems. There's plenty of falmer, etc down there to fill them with.

Also, there's a place down there, the debate hall IIRC which has a glowing orb above it; use the Unrelenting Force on the orb and it spawns a named dragon.
