Skyrim
I Started a new game with a different race but got bored after 10 hours of grinding through exactly the same quests all over again. It's a shame they can't put in some subtle differences in on the quests depending on what race and sex you choose. I'll probably finish the main quest then wait until the dlc drops.
holy thread resurrection batman. just saw the new expansion pack for Skyrim called Dawnguard. looks cool. be a vampire lord or Dawnguard vampire hunter. due for release as DLC for 1600MS points. you can carry over your character from the original game but obviously enemies will be scaled to your level.
if you read through the rest of this thread there are plenty of ways to make money. Anthony is right though. cheapest way by far is enchanted iron daggers. if you need any tips just PM me. just waiting on my 2100 MS points arriving from ebay. gonna be a Dawnguard first I think.

I gave up on Skyrim ages ago, due to having nowt left to do.
Look forward to the DLC though, give me a reason to go back to it.

I've made some iron daggers which I've enchanted. Only thing is, it says they are worth hundreds but I can only get 60 odd for them in a shop. Any way of selling them closer to what it says they're worth or is that it?
Ah, I see. Well I've found another way of making easy money. Married the woman that owns the Riverwood Trader. All I need to do now is keep waiting 24 hours and the daily profit of 100 accumulates.
the 100 speech glitch at blackbriar meadery in riften has been patched
i will have to revise that statement. my speech skill level for my new character was only high enough to persuade him twice. my level 75 character with 100 speech can persuade the bartender every time even after the 1.5 patch has been applied.

Cheers. I've done that now with a grand soul. Almost level 19 now and about to have a go at getting my smithing and enchanting up a good bit.

don't use your perks on any of the magic perk trees. don't increase your magika either. in crease either your health or stamina. at a later stage you can carry 4 different sets of cheap clothes that are both light in weight and can be double enchanted to allow you to cast any spell for NO magika. 4 pieces of clothes or armour with a 25% reduction.
Another tip. use the NPC in Riverwood. he stays in Alvor's house. he can be killed any number of times to increase one handed, two handed, block, archery, all forms of magic, sneak etc etc. the horse shadowmere can be used like this as well.

. not the easiest by long way. if you can get the muffle spell you can boost your Illusion to 100 just by casting continually.

Quite surprising how quickly smithing and enchanting increases when you're making those daggers. Doing them in batches of 20 sure helps things along.
The worst part is buying and then filling soul gems, which takes time. Pesky real life has been getting in the way and hampering progress! Personally I'd prefer to just stay in my chair playing Skyrim but unfortunately there are other things to do. Even have to work tomorrow, which is just a bloody inconvenience.
the problem of offloading your potions is solved when you invest in the Riverwood Trader. Every couple of days he has 10750 gold.
I picked up 2100 points in the hope that the dlc is released for tomorrow . Never been a fan of the vampire storylines in the elder scroll games, so those vampires are gonna get it.
Now at level 28 and have dragon armour, boots and helmet. Only thing I need now is gauntlets to have the full set. Looking to get my enchanting up now, as it's pretty sh*t at the mo. Want to improve the strength as well, as I've only done that on the tree once I think. That will keep going until about level 75 or 80. after that its quicker to be trained (provided you have the money coz it aint cheap). using you training after every level up is important if you want to make 100 skill in all skill trees. cost is the biggest hindrance here. get your barter skills to 100, as well as your enchanting and alchemy. with enchanted alchemy clothes and a few choice alchemy perks the "fortify health" potions using Giant's Toe and Wheat brings in a load of money. It eventually gets to the stage where you visit all the apothecary shops in all the cities and just buy their whole inventory of ingredients. Similarly you end up buying everyone's supplies of soul gems both empty and filled.

it might be legendary but what sort of damage does it do. my sword has 241 damage plus enchantments. my battle axe has a 963 damage rating.
there are trainer that will train you after every level up. 5 steps in what ever skill the person is skilled at. e.g arcadia will do alchemy up to level 80. two of the companions in Jorvaksarr do one handed and two handed. the higher the level the more it costs. low levels cost 200, high levels cost 2000.
DawnGuard is pretty good. solid 7 hours play there. lots to do. new monsters. hell hounds, stone gargoyles. i even get my own battle troll. pretty useless against master vampires. but takes some of the hits before I nail them with an arrow. 500 gold each they are btw. the soul cairn is cool

Well finished Dawnguard. 20 hours of play my ****. not even half of that. ho hum. Been messing about with being a Vampire Lord for a couple of hours. It's way cooler than being a Dawnguard. you can shift between your normal self and Vampire Lord so you have the best of both worlds. gain vampire perks by draining life force or feeding on victims. really cool powers, bat swarm, vampiric grip, raise dead, summon gargoyle, loads of others as well. having said that thats pretty much all you can do as a Vampire Lord. no map, no weapons, no other magic. just kill and feed. Harkon gives you stuff to do if you want I just had more fun trying to fill the vampire perk tree by killing all and sundry, horses, dogs, chickens, kids, soldiers, men, women, people in taverns, bears, giants, mammoths, deer, basically if it was alive i killed it.
