£500 is a good price but be careful with "good" prices.Seems too cheap to me,but hopefully he has priced it well to get the work,not priced it to cover it up for a few yrs,but if you dont own it that long, who cares i guess.(i know you say he`s well known, but has he done many impreza arches ?)

when i owned old classics i was told the only way to stop the arches rotting was to cut out and replace which is and expensive time consuming job.
make sure he is not just doing a cover up job as they rot inside to out and can be extensive on the inside of the arch and not too bad on the outside i.e just look like a bit of surface rust.

In The Hamster's deffence I am a total nightmare,I know nothing about cars,and what I do know isn't worth knowing ! Yes I was a **** when I came on here,but in MY deffence I was wound up etc...I am here to play with the cars and have a crack along the way ! I have met up with him and he has helped me along the way...Which I thank him for ! I have been sent on a merry dance by some members,saying I need xy and z,and guess who they say I need to by the said parts from,THEM !!
