LOL @ DYK's kitty.
I got reasonable gifts this year TBH. But some people, who I don't have this gift exchange realationship with, obliged me with some dust collectors. I got LUSH soap in bubblegum flavour , a box set of cards with the farm animals photos on them (blank inside for my own message for people e.g. you are a PIG, you are a COW, you are a SHEEP, or you are TWO FIGHTING ROOSTERS etc.), a box of Thorntons (I'm not into sweets) and a set of lipglosses (I don't wear lipgloss). All of these are useless to me. Anyway, my family members have chomped some Thorntons, so they should get consumed, I hope. Rest are going to a charity raffle soon. I bet the gifters won these things in some charity raffle at first place; just to pass them on to me.

I bought my dad the box set of Only Fools And Horses, got him the one with the specials as well as the episodes, I was very pleased with myself when he was opening it, knowing he's a big big fan, all was well until he told me he no longer has a DVD player
for the forst time ever at chrostmas i only got 1 ****ty present i wanted to throw away, that was a jar full of disgusting dark chocolate hazel nut truffles. I did get one of these though which was about the coolest present in history.

Hmm I may have to add my 'Powermonkey Explorer' to the list.
I initially thought 'great' that'll solve my problem that I have with 99% of modern phones and their crappy battery lives and the fact I'm always fighting to find a convienient mains socket to charge it....however....
Problem with it is the solar panel doesn't appear to work through windows....seems my house (and car) have UV filters in the glass, which stops it from working, so I'll still need to plug it in to the mains to charge it up...I may as well just plug the phone into the mains charger!

As I kid I had one of the originals....hand wind snoopy watch. Like all mechnical/automatic watches - it didn't take kindly to the abuses of daily wear on the wrist of a child. I didn't realise it was a 1960's watch

Was like this with a blue strap:

That's worth more than the average used modern Swiss Automatic 'fashion watch'

I got one of those red letter day paintballing experiences 100 free paintballs which on the face of it sounds good if you've never been . 100 paintballs lasts about 15 minutes and you their 4 hours . Last time I went I spent £70 on paint and it wasn't even dulux.
Needless to say I wont be redeeming it anytime soon.

Mine is an original and was mine as a child, my mother and sister found it for me put on a new strap and gave it back to me as a present, still works perfectly, its a timex movement and by all accounts more reliable than my rolex. i love the fact that my 33 year old watch has never seen a repair shop and still works.

I don't know what happened to mine, I do remember it stopped keeping time, mum saying it was broke and that was the last I saw of it (I had a Casio to replace it). I wonder if it went in a box somewhere or if she chucked it, I'll have to ask her now LOL.

I'm not sure how I ended up with it.
