Still interested Ian. Currently weighing up the cost of a forged short motor.
Hopefully the head and other bits will be salvageable and it's the block that's had it.
Did the garage say anything else about what could have gone?

Im doing some research pal, I dont think I can justify it
Ideally It needs a complete engine strip down to see the issues, and that going to cost the best part of a grand if its a simply fix. Dont hold out on me, i'll ponder and should you get bored of sitting on it send me a PM and we'll go from there.
Ideally I want sonmething halfway to track standard, thats why the forged build appealed to me.... Ive not gone away

Yes Rob. Due to time spent away with work I left it in Keith's care at Scooby Projects to sell or break. Deal has been agreed today for complete car. Silly price but that's the current market for you!
