I think mine has a double antenna so should be fine.
To be honest I think if it was going to happen to yours it would have happened by now. Pretty sure the antenna issue is fixed on the 4s and in reality it wasn't an issue anyway if you had a cover. The no sim installed seems to be a weird one caused by some sort of overheating and seems to happen in the first few days of ownership so you should be OK! On the whole I have found the iPhone 4 to be much better reception wise than the preceding 3Gs, but I am only testing on it not using it day to day!

I've just got a cracking deal off Vodafone today. 4s for daughter and her old 3gs for me. I'm not into fancy phones myself so am happy to take her old iphone. Costing less than I am paying now

I am currently paying for a crappy Nokia which I detest, and a 3gs. My upgrade is getting rid of the Nokia, keeping the 3gs and getting a 4s. I have chosen to have the 3gs as I want my daughter to have the 4s. phew. My choice and I am saving money on the new plans. I am happy

£10.25 for my daughters 3gs to me, 900 gossip. unlimited texts, 750 internet. 4s, £36, 600 minutes gossip, unlimited texts and 500 internet.
Considering I was paying £6.00 more per month for $hite, I am delighted
Oh and they are taking back the duff Nokia for £22. Hey, that is better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick. I would have given them back that phone for free

End of the day all that matters is that it does what you want of it.

Im not anti apple, i just like winding up jack more than anything.

However a friend did have £500 skimmed from his itunes account, so im most certainly not a fan there.

Does anyone disagree that any of the samsungs et al look and feel better?

I hate to break it to you, but they are terrible phones. They were supposed to be amazing for the camera, but it was pretty crap. slow shutter and blurry pictures. Used to get loads of them brought back in at the old phone shop i worked in. I never sold it for that reason.

Any modern phone will have cack battery life in comparison to the phones features. Battery technology is about 5 years behind the phone technology they are in.

And for the record, all those talking about phone cameras, the iphone camera is hardly groundbreaking is it mr clark?

Best camera phone to date is still the old Nokia n82. Old pics i have from that still look good today. Haven't seen much in the last 3-6 months that close but in the 3-4 years i worked in a phone shop nothing came close to it until about a year and a half afterwards.

Actually yes it is, it has a unique lens arrangement that is without doubt groundbreaking. For video it has image stabilisation at 1080p, again, groundbreaking.

So you're wrong, again. Put away the bias and for once give credit to Apple.

But the picture quality is hardly any different from most other phones out there. Regardless of the tech used, I don't think its actually very good.

Anyway. Talk to me about jail-breaking Worth it or not?

I like Apple technology. From music to phones, Apple rock. AppleMac lappy is also one very sweet gadget.

FAO Duncan : Shame on you for not buying an iPhone this time. You are living in an Apple age. Doesn't matter if you are not interested in developing a Facebook disorder or other teenage disease via your mobile phone, but even occasional texting and emailing from an iPhone is a pleasure, mate. You can store sh!tloads of music on it, and stick it to your iCradle back home for it to blare through the nano speakers. You don't need a ghetto blaster anymore, because your iPhone does the job. It has a very smart compass, which will come handy if you get lost in the middle of the sea. Regardless of the **** battery, iPhones are superior and more fun than other phones in the current market. Return that whatever new you have, and get yourself an iPhone.

The iPhone 4 camera is on par with others, the 4s allows 70% more light in, work it out.

The pics were certainly good enough for me , i bought a 3 megapixel camera 3 years before for 400 quid ! The video left everything in its wake

Not so cracking when you try and use them in the area. I used to think Voda were the best untill I got myself a contract with them this year. I only get 500mb web and I can't use that as you can virtually never get a data conection.
Luckily I only got a 12 month contract so I will be happy when its up

I'm not tied to a marque, I have the latest Nokia as well. It proves to me every time I use it that the iPhone is the king of Smartphones.

One: No. Jack has paid me nothing to favour iPhones. He has better things to do with his money.

Two: I hate sherberts, they taste bleddy horrible!

I have my personal experience of Apple technology to go by. If one has anything to do with the world of sound and design, one would know the power of iMac/AppleMac. If one has had numorous phones before, one would be able to mark the superioirity of an iPhone over other inferior mobiles knocking about.

However, I respect your opinion against the iPhone, if so. Free country and all that. So far Duncan is concerened, he is my long standing virtual mate on SN. I can order him to get an iPhone, if I like. He reserves his right not to listen to me, though.

I have to say that the video camera is outstanding for such a poky little lense stuck on the back of it. It puts my wife's Fujifilm compact to shame which itself is a very good camera.

...not good though is this is my 3rd attempt at typing this as the first 2 times when I had the phone on its side it suddenly took me to the home page and lost what I wrote. Typing the right way up and its managed it but still not good for a premium phone!
