Hi,

the quick quotation is exactly that, it's a a quick device which assumes a lot of the risk profile information.

You'll need to get in touch to discuss, feel free to Pm over your contact details, call us on 03303 331250 or request a call back via the link below:

Hi Olli,

I got a quote from the reference given above for the address named and all correct details for £350

when I rang up I was given another quote with the same details for £560, quite a big difference in price.

nevertheless I needed insurance cover for tomorrow (friday) so had little option but to use this poor quote.

I have used the quote system in the past that was accurate for my previous policys and nothings changed since except the lower risk postcode.

can you shed light on this and why there is such a difference? because I feel something is not right, if you can do anything to ammend this and get a better quote I would be much appreciative and singing SKY's praises again.

Hi,

the quick quotation assumes a lot of your risk profile. Please PM me your surname and postcode and I'll let you know where the risk difference is.

Thanks

Hi,

I believe my colleague Sam did go through the differences with you yesterday over the phone but for the record:

Quick quotation assumes:

The very lowest risk job occupation
You have owned the vehicle from new
You keep it garaged
No No Claims Bonus protection

Thanks

Bought my first Impreza yesterday. Sky were the second company I tried for insurance, and I was really impressed (especially at the discount for being a member on here). The chap (Mitchell) who dealt with my quote was obviously an enthusiast, and made the whole process a lot less painful than my previous dealings with insurers.

Default Sky Insurance= Top Guys

Hi Guys

Thank you for my renewal help today, Thought the quote should have been a little lower as i have been with them a year, and TBH David who is THE MAN done his best to get it lower for me.

Well happy with the price and more than happy with David for the leg work.

They really are great people

Just thought I would update this to say that I received my pay out for my cat c loss a couple of weeks ago. Although it took longer than I anticipated, most of the delay was due to the third party insurers and once I had been in touch with Ollie, I was kept informed by the accident management company throughout the process. Thanks for your help and communication Ollie.

As a separate query, I am looking at getting a track day spec Clio 172, is this something that Sky would insure and is it best to get a separate policy (like I had with my MX5) or can I add it to the Impreza policy?

Thanks for reporting back and I am always happy to help any member of an affiliated car club. I do really appreciate you coming back and offering further feedback

With regards to the track day spec Clio, most likely we'll look at a separate policy. Drop me a PM if/when you'd like a call back.

Also, the link below may be of interest, we launched this trackday insurance product only yesterday:

I am looking to having a tour through France in the summer - maybe 2-3 months.
I am proposing to buy a reliable car- most likely an Sti or a Boxster S for this duration and then dispose of it before returning to Australia.
Obviously I need insurance - I need to know what is the legal requirements and of course cost.
I have intact British and Australian licences .
I would appreciate any guidance .

Difficult one, and I'm not sure what to suggest. Most UK insurers will only offer full 12 month polices and will require a UK address and full UK residence, we require 5 years UK residency. UK insurers will offer limited European car cover, some will offer 30 days, some 90 days.
It may be easier to seek the car and cover in France.

Well unfortunately you are charging an extra £170 than I'm quoted with another insurer, just had a word with your collegue and you can't match it. Wanted to stay loyal but not this year I'm afraid.
