I'm insured with you guys and ok setting up policy was no problem.

I had a woman cut me up and spun off and had to make a claim and had nothing but problems, so unfortunately I don't think I will renew next year

I've just had a look at this one and there is a lot going on, none of which I can post on the public forum though. I've replied to your PM.

Thanks

Hi Tony, we'd struggle to be honest, it's an excluded area via our car club scheme.

Apologies

Hi,

we wouldn't be able to help unfortunately, our very minimum criteria for any car is to have a full 2 years driving experience and we have an age 25 or over policy on all Imprezas.

Apologies

I'm afraid so, we cover the UK mainland area only.

Apologies

Got insured on my modified JDM through you guys just this week and have been very impressed with the quote (beating other companies, obviously) and personal service. Would reccomend to anyone.

By the time my next insurance renewal comes through ill be 25 with 5 years NCB and 2 years ownership on an 03 WRX (0 points, 0 claims, low risk crime zone parked on drive)
Ill give you a cal nearer the time, will be interested to see if your able to quote me similar to what im getting already :) (paying £999 fully comp at 24 atm, with couple of mods)

jaygsi 31 January 2012 08:51 PM

I'm older then you 4 years no claims and paying £850 renewal of £790. With few mods 3 points doh.

StevoT2000 17 February 2012 03:27 PM

I just got quoted £6000 for a 2004 wrx!!! WTF! :wonder:

Hi,

any price over £1500 indicates our criteria is not met. If you haven't spoken to us on the phone, please do, you can request a call back via the link below.

http://www.skyinsurance.co.uk/call_back_new.phtml

Or if you prefer, PM me your online quote reference and your surname and postcode and I will see if there is something wrong.

Thanks

StevoT2000 17 February 2012 04:13 PM

I spoke on the phone already, also on the website there is a checklist of all criteria needed, i ticked every box.

I got the old "its your area" saying!

Funny that because i live on a residential caravan park, all my neighbours are oaps, You need to display a permit to get on site, my car is parked on a drive, i live down a country lane out of town, to be honest i cant see anything happening to my car where i live!

But thats car insurance for you, an absolute joke!

£6000 :lol1:

£6000 is a 'polite' way of saying we cannot help you. This is down to your 'BD' Bradford postcode which is excluded from our car club scheme.

Thanks for trying us and apologies we cannot help.

StevoT2000 17 February 2012 05:39 PM

My postcode is BB (Blackburn)

I think a "polite" way of saying we can't help you would be to say, "sorry, we cant insure you because of your postcode" instead of insulting somebody with a £6000 quote.

Thanks
Ste

Terminator X 17 February 2012 05:43 PM

They can insure you ... for £6k :lol1:

Hi,

my mistake, I misread your postcode. I'm afraid we have the same issue with the 'BB' postcode, it is an excluded area for us.

Thanks and apologies we cannot help.

It's a double edged sword that one, we receive criticism whichever option we choose.

Luize 02 May 2012 06:38 PM

sounds like it to me too, i rang today for a price on wrx, owned one a year ago now but miss it so looking at getting another but sky cant insure me this time round :( quite surprised as they were the best quote last year. shame really. i think insurance has gone up massively now too :(

jaygsi 02 May 2012 06:50 PM

Mines gone down by 100 pounds

Yuck Fou Motorsport 03 May 2012 03:59 PM

I've recently been quoted £340 with directline & £640 with Sky online it did say to call for a cheaper quote but will it be £300 less? lol, 2005 Impreza WRX with Cat 1 alarm & Tracker fitted, postcode is LE13 and its kept on a private drive way under a car port, 6 years no claims

No, if that price is correct and your details are accurate, it is very competitive.
