Well whatever Iran are doing 2bh there trying to **** off everyone else. Being in the military myself. It is a bit of a worry. If any **** goes down with them. were ****ed plain and simple.NO money..not enough troops. and a game of whos got the biggest and most nukes??. . . That spell's out = The world is ****ed.
Think this time britain will just have to back down and say okay...well leave you alone. . Or else we will pay with 100's more young men and women's lives that barely get a mention on the new's or papers.
If they were to Kill or capture british civilian's..what else can we do?
Ps: were very lucky to have one of the best military's in the world. . And we cant let that slip. Never...Ever...

As I have posted before if our leaders weren't determined to sit at the top table and pour billions into arms development we would be so much less of a terrorist target.
So stop wasting our money and pass the Iran buck to the Israelis and the US.
Ironically I am told that the Iranians themselves are a pretty decent lot who like Britain and there is always a chance that the top regime will fail.

Pretty much every 'enemy' country will have the majority of its inhabitants just wanting to get on with the daily working family life. As soon as we interfere or disrupt that, we become their enemy too.
Their leaders always blame the west and how eveil we are. What more do we need to prove them right than set up camp at the borders of a country we have already invaded and conquered, ready to pounce when the orders are given. You have to ask, who is the obvious aggressor here?

And these stupid, ignorant local people just don't realise that when a heavyweight armed American group of soldiers kick in their door at midnight, smash the place up, abuse their daughters and take their sons away so they can kick the living s,hit out of them - that they should say "thanks guys for saving our country"

The wifes brother has just rung to say he's packing his kit as in the last hour he'd been put on 8 hours notice to go into Iran!?!?
He's a Sergeant in the Army and said a while ago that a lot of gear was being moved to bases in Iraq near the Iranian border and other strategic locations as a precaution.
Anyone else in the army or heard anything about what may be about to happen?

I think the Army might not be too happy about that!

As above, can't believe you posted this on a public forum, regardless if you agree with it or not. Your brother could find himself out of the armed forces quicker than he'd like and you could end up with some sort of charge - possibly even treason if they really want to push it?

He wasn't the only one to be put on 8-hours notice and not the only one phoning home to warn his family that he may not be around for christmas lol. He wasn't given any further info and was as stunned as we were. He's been involved in more sensitive stuff including work with William and Harry and never says anything prior about where he's going or what he's up to until he comes back. If it were sensitive he would have just told us that he may have to go away at short notice.
I know a few lads on here are in the army and wondered if anyone else had been given the same notice.
PS ...... Just in case shhhhhhh don't ell anyone.

And if they haven't heard, you've probably left them wondering if they'll get the call.
It wasn't your news to post on a public BB, I've no idea what you think you were trying to achieve by posting it.

I remember the lengths that the military went to during both Gulf Wars to ensure that the press didn't report the bombers taking off until after they had reached their targets
