If it snows, I'm sticking the CX tyres on my bike and going out for spin, just because I can

Well **** me! surprisingly the BBC forecast changed so dramatically today their credibility has to be questioned.

Completely sunny all day Saturday and Sunday at 7am this morning to HEAVY snow from 6pm - 9pm Saturday.

Come on, is it beyond their capabilities to forecast 48 hours ahead? even approximately?

This set up has been a nightmare for them to forecast. Like I mentioned earlier, it could go down to Nowcasting...Nothing is still set in stone and could all change again.

The local "forecast" here from the MetOffice is JUST like that.

You go out: it says fine.
It starts to rain, you come back, check, the b@stards have changed it to "rain".

They are ONLY interested in preaching climate change.

In North Wales, it was down to -7 yesterday am. It was -5 today am. By am, I mean 9-10am. Sunny with ample frost and blood freezing temperatures all day. Car has been chonging de-icers like a p!sshead chongs alcohol, bless. In a nutshell, life goes on regardless; inside the workplaces and at home.

Sure there is a whole government ministry now dedicated to 'climate change'. That means lots of people have big jobs and there is a lot of money all needing 'climate change' to be real. In fact the worse climate change is the more money they have and more power etc.

Big crash last night on a road near me. Fire truck, two ambulances and 4 cop cars.

I saw a big hole punched through a fence/hedge and broken curb and scraped pavement. Looks like a car rolled, prob cos of ice.

Yeah I dunno, the road was all blocked off last night but when I checked this morning was cleared except for damage to kerb and fence/hedge, but must have been fairly bad for fire-engines to be out.

It's a sweeping bend and they put a hole in the fence/hedge just after/before the apex on the inside. I dunno how you would do that? Normally a car which exceeds grip will drift out and wreck on the outside of a bend. So I am thinking it may have involved two cars?

The hole in the fence/hedge remined me of last year where - about a mile away - some traffic cops confiscated an Evo off some chav and promptly rolled it into someones Garden as they were driving it back to the station. Reminds me to find out if they got charged with any driving offenses or not...I doubt it.

Quite possibly.

Ridiculous if that Evo chav didn't face any charge at all.

Black ice is deceiving and lethal, indeed. Please take care driving, everyone.

Allegedly supposed to get 4" of snow tonight in Kent/East Sussex and whilst that shouldn't be a show stopper I bet the roads end up being chaos as they wont be cleared properly. I've got to go out 6.30 tomorrow morning so that could be fun, the snow doesn't worry me the very low temperatues and iced roads below the snow do as no car can can drive safely on icy roads covered in snow.

-7 here (j24 m1) at dawn today. Still determinedly below zero at the moment. It's only meant to get above freezing when the snow clouds roll in...

CX tyres on standby!

Our flight to Heathrow is cancelled tomorrow

Re-booked for Monday afternoon, meaning a tighter connection flight for Monday evening departure

At this rate, I'll be driving the 500 miles there on Monday.

Good to know that the driver is ok.

My meeting in Ludlow tomorrow is cancelled due to thick snow there apparently; unless someone's skiving. Anyway, A49 is sh!te as it is, so I am pleased to avoid it- snow or no snow. It has just rained here in North Wales. Snow is still to come, I suppose.

Likely to be the ONLY snow we get this winter and the forecast is at the moment completely wrong!!

Guess it's back to the same old winters we have had prior to the last 3 years - 1 day of snow and then it's gone! PANTS!!

Possible reload from the east and North, end of next week. It should bring more snow.
