He came to my workshop. looked around 5 or 6 different shells and picked a 2000 JDM STi Bugeye... but thinks he chose a 2002 STi type UK Bugeye which is where the confusion came in. We were talking about a lot of different shells that day so its easily done. However there was only one shell still rolling at the time and that was the JDM one he picked so I cant have got them mixed up. he got the one he picked delivered to him but I didnt realise there was a misunderstanding / problem until he'd had the shell for weeks and he said "is this not a uk?" I assumed he knew that it was a JDM from which one he picked.

heres some pics of the car before it was stripped if that helps.

It had the private number plate K555WRX on it when i got it which i removed so went back to an X plate

I'm confused as that looks like a Jap Bug STi shell and you say in your original post that

"it turns up as a 2000 not the 2002"

Not sure they made the Jap bug STi in MY2000

Let me also just point out that SLAB bought a shell from me with 4 doors, most of the other panels he's sourced from somewhere else and just expects all the colours to match perfectly. As their all called WR blue. Can someone please explain to him why theres going to be slight differences with every panel he buys from a different car with weathering / age / year of the panel / etc. As he is the biggest perfectionist in the world and wont listen to me when i try and tell him the shades of the blue will change from car to car and its not actually just an issue with the shell hes bought. unless im wrong? can someone with some paintwork experience be able to clear this up please?

Paul ive bought 2 bonnets of you, 2 boots a wing from different people you even supplied the sills explain to me why they all match the driver side of the car, the car is 2 different colours, drivers side is darker then passenger side has been blown in with a lighter blue cant you see the blow of on the rear arch, doesn't take a paint expert to explain that to me can be seen a mile of, also Paul its not a matter of being a perfectionist its about getting what i paid for.
Show the 2002 thats in your face book the uk one you broke in dec 2010 You know the 2002 that you never have had

The one in my pictures on facebook yes i did have it... in december 2010.... i didnt in july 2011 when you bought yours! I dont keep shells for 6 months im not crazy, id have them piled up if i did that. Im not denying I had other shells there when you chose yours. I did. and I did have some UK shells in stock because we were talking about all the shells I had in. but you picked the shell you were given. it was the only one still with doors and front subframe and wiring loom left on it that i had so i cant have mixed them up. weve been over this 10 times now. you got the shell you chose the day you came and had a look around

sorry i should have explained why i was after shocks

I had Teins on my Bug STI with all the extra motors and EDFC and shocks were knackered so put standard sti ones back on for now but front rt and rear left shocks shot on them now (not sure what im doing to go through them all) so thought if i could get a full set (what was advertised on Ebay by PMB) to change the two knackered shocks on mine just until I have saved the grand up that I need to get Teins back on in the spring . but car would be slight better drive than it is till then or other thought is to sell the motors and EDFC on there own and use money to go for set of BC's.
But saw the sellers ebay name and spotted this thread so got a bit worried.

I haven't personally had an dealings with the guy in question so I cant comment.

but from my side of things it would be a waste of time me buying another set of possible knackered shocks from someone/anyone as when they are off the car there's no way of knowing if they any good or not.

They was piled up thats why you offered me the 2002 as you was running out of room you said your getting rid of all your shells The 2000 rolling shell you was waiting for the log book to come back as it was your m8s car you bought and he wanted the plate back, They are words not mine Marty could vouch for me.
And yes there was a few that didn't have wheels and was bare but they was a sti blob eye and if i remember right other 2 was prodrive you was on about how the yanks buy all the stuff straight away. Then the 2002 then the 2000 also think the black one was a 2000 which you offered me it for £450
6 SUBARUS BOUGHT STRIPPED AND SOLD IN 6 MONTHS AND YOU STILL DIDNT HAVE THE 2002 SHELL LOLOL COME ON PAUL
ALSO TAKEING INTO ACCOUNT NOBODYS GOT ANY MONEY UP TO AND AFTER CHRISTMAS AND YOU MANAGED TO BUY ONE A MONTH ALSO SCRAP AND BUY 6 MORE FOR WHEN I WAS THERE AND ALOMOST STRIPPED THEM
SEEM AS ITS NOT SINKING IN I HAVE DRAWN YOU SOMTHING SIMPLES SO YOU KNOW WHAT AM ON ABOUT.

Any flash backs
Again do you think am dreaming all this up m8 i have to much detail that i remember also my witness is 101% i bought a 2002, and lets face it your being very dodgy dont you thinks i have the pick of the bug i bought as soon as i find it i will show the people seem as your hiding it,
I only wish i taken picks when i dropped you the £400 deposit off

My 2p worth.

I have bought some stuff off SLAB and went to his unit and i even saw the bug bear in question.

SLAB was honest, helpful and did me a good deal as well as chucking in stuff for free that he could of quit easily charged me extra for and even knocked a bit off the agreed price without me asking.

Not many folks would do that....

And he even took me at my word for postage to croatia, which i shall give him a drink for if it the croatian p/o ever get their act together and deliver it..

Paul you already lost one sale that we know of because of this thread, and god knows how many others since it's inception, this is a very close knit community and we don't take kindly to "Rouge Traders".

I would suggest if you wish to continue to ply your trade amongst us that you make it right and restore our confidence, £200 is a small price to pay to ensure the continued success of your business...

As not many people have said on here. I have bought alot of stuff of Paul. And I can honestly say he's helped me a hell of alot more than some breakers I know. I agree that you can't win them all all the time.

Paul will still come highly recommend by me.

i went to pauls workshop last night in boston ,dont like buying without seeing ,he was a very nice guy ,gave me loads of discount as i travelled from swindon, bought a boot with spoiler in wrc blue 150, side skirts in wrc blue 40, and a double din 50 quid, nice workshop lots of bits, also met customers whilst there, very satisfied ,one regular guy even had his scooby remapped by him free of charge , i also think two sides to every story. and he was very honest and mentioned the problems he has had with slab before we purchased anything and gave me his user name to check it all out, cant say fairer than that, he als knows i work with the police and unlike some sellers when you share this info they run a mile, thanks paul ,nice ding buisess with you, regards simon
