I would strongly recommend you go for the legal approach. It seems you have given them a vast amount of time to resolve *their* problem. As for being ignored well.........

Question

How much are these bulb (sorry If i've missed it earlier). It seem whatever anyone else thinks of GGR, their service to Dave TS has been at the very best extremely slow. I would say you have an excellent case, though it is a pain having to go to small claims court for a couple of bulbs...

(granted, probably the most expensive bulbs in the world!)

Dave I hope you do get a resolution soon and I won't be buying there until it is resolved, so please keep us updated.

Similar problems with the PIAA bulbs have been noted in the states:

Pete,

I've got in front of me the issue of Auto Express I think you are refering to. (Issue 637)
The feature was called the "Bright Lights Guide"

They tested H1 and H7 bulbs from a variety of manufacturers in "basic", "all weather" "xenon" and "blue" forms.

The results:

H1
1st Philips Premium
2nd Ring Xenon Plus
3rd Halfords Brilliance
4th Philips Blue Vision
5th Osram Super

H7
1st Philips VisionPlus
2nd Philips Premium
3rd Philips BlueVision
4th Ring Ice Blue
5th Halfords Laser Blue

Obviously some surprises in the results.

PIAA Super White bulbs got a "not rated" and the accompanying text included the following:

"The light output is below the legal minimum, it draws excess power, geometry is non-reg and the beam's one of the worst. And what a price!"

Harj,
Sorry but with out e-mail and the web people around the world would not have such
access to goods and services .

Just imagine having to call GGR from half way
around the world , so thank God for e-mail
after all it is free you know.

And yes I do agree with you Wayne is THE person to deal with at GGR .

Hope the PIAA matter is resolved in a satisfactory manner to all involved .

Update on situation - I emailed Graham Goode from home so only see what, if anything, has happened at 7pm when I get home.

As of last night, absolutely no response whatsoever to my last emails from Graham Goode. I emailed the whole story direct to PIAA UK last night. Perhaps they might take it a bit more seriously.

Watch this space.......

Good luck with this Dave - I hate getting such poor service from companies and support you putting the facts on here. I know this can cause headaches for those running scoobynet, but as long as we stick to facts, there should be nothing to worry about.

Dave - thank you, I have just spoken to Wayne and he is sorting out.

Is he a heavy breather on the phone?

Just had the weardiest conversation with him, sounds like he is/was giving.......................

In my opinion there is too much of this type of thing on scoobynet at present.

Obvioulsy it is good that we are all informed when there is a serious reason that we should not use a supplier, but it seems that most of these threads turn out to prove that it was all a fairly reasonable every day problem that could have been easily sorted out with a phone call.

We relaxed our strong views on this kind of thread a few weeks back to see if it could run without doing any harm, but too many people have exploited this situation and it is doing ScoobyNet and our community no good at all.

I must stress... I hate people being short changed or treated badly, but there are many threads that are popping up that are not this, they are just every day mistakes, or mis-understandings.

But in the mean time, the company involved is seen to be incompetent, etc.

I must ask that from now on, we all think a little more carefully about whether the level of potential damage we are going to do to a company with one of these posts is really waranted?

I am NOT refering to this thread in particular and have copied this post into each of the posts that I am now closing. I am closing all similar posts so that there is no "well why was this one closed, and not that one". It is a shame for the people with valid complaints, but it has gotten a little out of .

I would respectfully ask that we don't now start a "freedom of speech" thread as we will not be closing threads just for the sake of it, but will encouraging people only to post a complaint if it will really do some good and they have tried everything else.

Very best regards
