Hi lads yes the car in question is mine just want to list off a few point I have noticed a lot of you are talking about on here

1. Yes the pics are **** but what muppet by a car by looking at the pics

2. I have spent a 100000 on the car in the 3 years I have owned it but no where on the listing does it say there's a 100000 worth of parts on the car purely put that up to show the cars been lookd after

3. It has a cut gear box in it bought offline leas than a month ago

4. Heard someone said I have a cv joint gone no it was the rear diff has a LSD put in to today by pole position

5. I have all the receipts for all the things on the car and what's not on it anymore

6. The car is running 500 bhp with dyno to prove only way it's not is because I have been tricked and been given false results witch I don't think so because I use propper companies with reputations to up hold

7. The car has been stroked to 3.0 from what the engine builder told me

3.0 stroker kit ? not herd of one before my self but would like to know more as i will be blowing mine up at some point lol

 

no mate but i run bbscoobys (bath and bristol) and and one of our staff members lives in saltford and im always out there so it is prob me,,,but there is another round here that looks the same from the outside but hasnt had anything else done but like i said its prob me

What bore and stroke are you using?

been searching loads and from what i can tell if you stroke a ej25 you a pervert and only get it upto 2.6 dew to the already extended stroke to get 2.5

Writing out a spec sheet for my insurance company and then sticking prices next to all the bits gave a pretty shockin total at the bottom ......If when i bought my car for £4k, someone had told me id spend another £20k on it i wouldnt have believed them ..... and thats just the bits that were on it when it was finished, never mind the labour and bits that werent up to scratch and replaced as i figured stuff out during the build! In reality, if i had receipts for absolutely everything i spent and all the labour costs it would be nearer £40k.

Anyways, my build was done on the cheap with alot of work done by me and engine work done by a semi reputable garage with a fixed quote at the beginning. If id payed per hour labour for myself and the garage i used i could easily stick another 10 to 15k ontop of that! If id gone into shell modification there could potentially be another £10k on that again ..... it all adds up!

So my view on this thread is this-

Yes, its easy to spend ALOT of money on cars when theyre your hobby/interest/project/learning experience/track toy ..... all of the above!

Yes, costs can get slightly out of hand if you just give the responsibility to a garage who knows youve got fairly deep pockets and you tell them you want the best for that car!

No, this 100k hasnt been spent wisely .... sorry blackknight, but for more than 3 times the money ive spent id expect alot more bang for your buck. I think the least you can do is bang a complete spec sheet up here so people can see what youve done.... if you want to sell the car your going to need to do it anyway so why not! Ill PM you a template, just fill it in and copy and paste it into a post on this thread .... roberts your mothers brother!

The other wee problem i have is this statement ....

Surely your interested in the car .... how do you not know exactly what youve payed him to do????? or did you just give him the car and say "heres a blank cheque and my scoob .... ping a bangin engine in it!"

 

that would put him a 2.7 not much room to bore the ej25 safely as the odb's of at get scdb's

 

it's true not even finished the engine work on mine and already getting the bit's together for rebuild just in case

Suppose I've been looking at it as if you were to spend 60K in one hit. Didn't take into account the process of chopping and changing parts along the build.

 

how is it running 500 hp on a sc40 turbo which is just a 20g with some billet that a 380 hp turbo maybe at a push 400 but the car it self does look nice

 

td05 20g will go as far as 450bhp with the right mods there's printout on here showing it

 

On an accurate dyno and without meth it won't....

 

yes with meth but thats how i'm going to get my 18g to make over 400bhp

 

1.Yr selling on ebay thats how u buy things. I know there r quite a few people on here including myself who have bought a car by looking at pictures and asking questions. When u go 2 pick up the car or have it delivered u check it 2 make sure it matches up. Don't forget yr selling a car so u have 2 go out of yr way 2 appeal 2 the widest market. So yes PHOTOS R IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!

2.Completely off topic but what do u do for a living u must be on a minimum of what 40 grand a year. R there any vacancies need a job.

3.Fair enough because a lot of people will be wondering whats going on with that important piece of the puzzle.

4.U got some backup there, using a reputable company. Any 1 on here could ask them 2 confirm. Thats a good thing

5.Makes sense when combined with 2.

6.Drop that on here 2 shut every 1 up.

7.That has already been mentioned so clear this up.

At the end of the day its for yr benifit not mine. I know I might be sounding a bit harsh but I'm not. If people were saying things about my car I would want 2 put the record straight.

Unless I'm misunderstood but have you guys stopped to think. I could actually be dislexic and also suffer from ocd. So my spelling and English is off. I do struggle with it a lot and I did throughout school.

By trying to make this perfect has taken me over 10 minutes. Yes thats 10 minutes.

This is one of the reasons I use my IPHONE because it does a lot of autocorrecting and it all so finishes off the words.

Just finished uni. It was hard to say the least. Its quite obvious that I am lol I knew there would be spelling mistakes in that. Yeah and my concetration levels drop really quickly. Thats why I skim read a lot and see things as different things (kind of miss reading but wrong order and back 2 front). If you are dyslexic then you know exactly what I'm going through or at least have some idea as I know there are different types.

Its probably why we own scoobys. We are creative thats why we wanna get as much BHP from a 2lt block as possible lol.

I have 2 but 1s my Mun's I'm insured on it lol. It's a classic facelift STI with front mount, bigger turbo, pipercross induction kit, even headers and a 3.5" to 5" exhaust. Not sure on exact BHP but previous owner showed dyno print out of 340bhp. But like I said not sure.

My own car is a Blobeye wrx but with supporting sti upgrades. Bigger intercooler straight through de cat exhaust from the turbo etc. need 2 get it on a dyno and see what it's running lol just bought it last week.
