How often do you feed your dog?
Once a day, after a 6mile walk, can't remember where i read it but you should not feed for 3/4hours before excersise as it can cause a twisted bowell especially in large dogs.
And feeding after mimics natural behaviour of going out hunting for food then the reward of food.
Mine would eat all day if i left enough tasty food out.

I've heard this too but both my beagles always about 10mins after eating play for a good 10-15mins.. even if you put them in their crate they still roll around pulling each other about,,,
Lab - twice a day - if we left food out for him he wouldn't be able to fit through the door.
