I've got those fans, I like the bracket... I rigged up some crude metal strip brackets.
So the rad fans on the other side of the rad inbetween the rad and fmic? Doesn't that just pull the heat away from the rad and straight on to the fmic tho?

Do you find better cooling from sucking or blowing?
BTW loving the inverse fmic set up
Once I got my box sorted I'm going to do these subtle touches to improve air flow and cooling etc...

the carl davey relocation kit is very nice but so expensive and over kill seems it will take less than 5 mins to mod your standard braket to suit
banny thats a nice fan set up mate is that for the new build??

It comes down to what you want and how much you want to pay.

i did say its very nice arch im not taking that away from the bracket but the cost of over 200quid id rather spend it else where when i can mod the excisting bracket that really doesnt weight all that much
also the carl davey bracket isnt the best for the reverse inlets if your pipe work runs low as there isnt that extra pully you mentioned to lower the belt out the way thats the only reason you need the extra pully looking at your set up your pipe is straight out and the belt looks very close to touching still but every set up is differnt and what ever works i say
rice rocket pm replied cheers

The kit is designed specifically for rotated set ups, otherwise there would be no point. Mine is not as close as it looks in pics I have a min of 15mm of clearance poss more. I know a fair few cars that run this set up and none have cleareance issues with the pipework.
I agree that the standard bracket can be reused, there then needs to be a bracket made up to tension the belt and the additional pulley added to lower the belt because of the height of the standard bracket. This is not a 5 minute job as you suggest. I also did say as a "direct fit item"

with my set up in the blue newage as pic the carl davey bracket wouldnt work i keep the pipe work low so like i say what ever works for each setup..your pic is miss leading it looks very close but must be the angle of the shot im like most people and dont have buckets of cash to chuck on a braket that i can mod in 5 mins and you can bolt a pully onto that standard bracket to lower the belt you dont have to make a extra bracket up i just choose to do my set up this way
im not argueing the fact the carl davey braket is no good its very good we have used one in the past our selfs i personally preffer the standard item as i dont think alex who was the one asking was gonna go as far as fitting that bracket and i was giving him the cheapist advise that works and not to rip him off on a easy conversion simple as

I must admit personally on my particular car I wouldnt spend £200 for this bracket. Its too good for my build, I'm not at the level where I'm buying the best of the best, altho I do want the best that I can afford so I need to keep to the right level of spending as its too easy to get carried away.
With my car its no expense spared, but unfortunately my funds dry up pretty fast and then I've also got my wife to deal with, lol

What year car? I have a V3/4 manifold that has been profesionally converted using a Carl Davey manifold wedge. I used Carls welder as he does such a great job. £110 delivered in the UK
