By now I hope everyone has been able to watch the video, I'll put a link below for the injured, maimed or BT customers.
Well done Apple. Now there's absolutely no reason why everyone can't have an iPhone. Apple listened to the haters and developed solutions or price points that mean that now no one has a reason not too. Boom.
#1 Operating System
#1 Handset
Bazzions of iPods sold
Even blind people like Stevie Wonder have no excuse, and you can't say they're lured in by an advert or a pretty design.
Thanks for the innovation Apple.

I can't wait for some tw^t to show everyone around him how cool they are by using the new 'personal assistant' function.
'Tell me where the nearest crapper is'
'Tell me where the nearest fanboy shop is'
'Tell me how cool I am!'

I hope I see some too, it'll be the same **** that wear bluetooth earpieces in Tesco, mostly Android users, but needed the biggest numbers so bought an iPhone.
I'm no fan of voice control, but I'm prepared to be swayed by good technology.

Jack, whilst I can appreciate that anyone coming from an iPhone 3G/3GS or older iPhone may well look at the 4S and be amazed, •BUT• as an iPhone 4 user I'm feeling particularly underwhelmed. The 4S for me is not a great leap forward, more of a step sideways and I won't be getting one even if I'm offered one as a free upgrade.
I do like the new features of iOS 5 but the most interesting feature namely the assistant won't work on my iPhone 4, so it would appear that on the face of it that it you want the new features then you need the 4S and a lot of 4 users won't be upgrading due to contract limitations or as in my case aren't interested in the 4S.
I only hope the 5 comes out before my contract ends or I will be looking very closely at the Android offerings at the time.

If people are so loyal to Apple, why don't they just wait for the iPhone 5 anyway when their contract ends?
To even be tempted by Android seems perplexing to say the least.
Is this the beginning of the end for Apple?

I have a 3GS, it just hasn't been worth me upgrading to the 4 and the changes between those two are far greater than the 4 to the 4S. Count yourself lucky, you still have a cracking phone, far better than any freeware version and you get to change to a cheap deal until the 5 comes out, saving you enough to fund the next phone. I know some people just have to have the latest model, but I'm not like that.

I found this video quite comical http://www.apple.com/uk/iphone/#video-4s
They way they talk, it's like some sort of brainwashing, and very cheesy.
But is the voice recognition that good? Seems a bit far fetched to me?

The only thing that is enticing me is the larger HD. 16Gb just isn't enough for me. I'd love a 64Gb one but they are just so ludicrously expensive.

Working in the mobile phone industry i couldnt help but laugh last night when this was released, after months of me telling customers there will be no iPhone5 for at least another year and them thinking they knew better.
To be honest i wouldnt trust the SIRI software package when the phone does come out, and is it me or are we becoming more and more like americans? to the point we cant even be bothered to txt someone anymore, we'd rather get a computer to dictate it for us?

I could never see myself using it in a public place. Voice recognition has come a long way, even Google voice search is very good these days, has been for a while. But I dont think I would trust a phone to dictate a message properly either. Let alone read them out while im in the car with someone...... Im sure its not just me that gets risque texts lol

so the question is how many uk apple fan boys and girls will be conned out of there money even given extream uplift on prices for the UK market?
O also don't forget the uk verison will have reduced features as well lol
US base price of 16gb $199 (£128.89)
UK base price of 16gb £499
mm, 387% uplift and people will still pay it, fool and there money,,,, lol

None. The US is contract pricing and the UK pricing is without contract. Now, go to the back of the class. The UK pricing seems like a bargain.
