Hi Stan,
As mentioned on other thread, car looks great, cracking spec, would love a ride in it. What work was Subaru main dealer carrying out when they messed up oil quantity's?
As you mentioned in your other threads that you change your own oil always using Motul products?

Replacing an oil hose to the oil cooler which developed a small leak, spraying oil under the engine and car. Main job was to clean off (steam clean) the bottom of the engine/car and fit the new hose. The amount of oil lost was only about half a pint, but it made quite a mess
Are you interested in buying it ???

WOW Stan, Lucky it did'nt catch fire!
Would love to own car but will need to extend mortgage.
Do you think 17,000miles of use or burst pipe and resulting oil pressure loss might have caused "slight wear"on engine?

Engine internals designed to be very reliable at this power. With proper use it was expected to last longer than my 430BHP Classic engine which was driven VERY hard - many track days, revved to 8K - often more on track when excited - and it lasted 80k miles at that power/use before needing a refresh due to bore wear. I would expect those bearings to show slight wear - not on any engine after only 17k !
Yeah Stan, I suppose your right, providing the engine did'nt run for long with low oil pressure as a result of leak.
Anyways, where is the oil cooler mounted. Is it in the bonnet scoop? Cant see it in final picture from Enginetuner(It does look mint though
).

It didn't run at any time with low oil pressure when I was driving it - only when the "Subaru Technicians/Dealer Principal" drove it "like its supposed to be driven" (their words) having failed to check they had refilled the oil sufficiently to even register on the dipstick, after replacing the oil cooler hose

At least it had 4 out of the required 5.5 litres in it, so could have been worse.
Oil cooler was under the scoop, but as its winter and I certainly won't be doing any track days, I left it off.
