In terms of price, I found both around the same. But Alan advised me that the avcs heads needed a new loom and also change my simtek which will take too long.
Also Alan said that the ver 6 STi heads will be just as good, so trusting his knowledge

FYI we're about to launch a wiring loom that makes wiring AVCS heads to non-AVCS vehicles easy. Comes with all the connectors for AVCS cam sensors and AVCS solenoids, and suitable for Syvecs, Simtek, AlcaTek or any ECU that has the capability to manage AVCS

It was a thread in general if you wanted to look it up
But on top of my head, tuners that I've heard mainly good news or have had a good experience with are
Slowboyracing
APi
Scoobyclinic
Lateral
FB tuning
Rogerclarks
And of course Enginetuner
Obviously there are more, but these I've heard good feedback and only ones i can remember this time of night lol

and of held in high regard. where im kinda going on this is, recently posted my R for sale. it has 72000 miles clocked. i ve personally thought for years, better an engine un-opened, never fooked with, rather than a rebuild done by dim wits..... friends, family, shed ......there are many complicated issues to get a boxer engine running just right.
i would only trust a few companies to get the job done right the first time.
flame suit on

At least you know what the problem was Wiley, but what can I say - you and others going down this route remind me just how shabby my engine bay is and how much cleaner a new block would make it look - please stop, I want a new road bike before and engine

Craigo - enginetuner or FB tuning are not far and they both have great feedback, although rich @ FB is not doing any big builds right now
Jon - you know me, I'll probably end up going 2.35 next year, you can buy the 2.1
Phil - closed deck block, he's to do thrust conversion
Razor - what can I say, the garage bumped me not just engine wise but bodywork too. No refund and no warranty. Will let people know about his shabby service if anyone asks if they're any good.
Apart from the heads looking totally effed, Alan and his guys said that there were bolts missing on the block. But I'll leave that behind me, and look forward to a fresh engine.

Fair play buddy. Least you know your in safe hands now!
When the word gets about how crap the other place is they will soon lose customers etc.
It's all about word of mouth these days, and knowbody wants bad words.

As it was with a machining company to check the original engine and crank.... I'd be carefull what you say about the company as you could be made to look very silly after saying you want it just put back together and didnt want to spend any money even tho the engine was said to be junk and good for nothing, I would let it die if I was you
I've had engines off two of the companies on your list above and two didn't make it past 2000 miles
