Eastbo Massive...11th May
ScoobyK (G) - Yes, we were at the Lotus show @ Donnington all weekend. Some nice machinery there + got to watch some racing (classic touring cars, single seaters, etc).
Haven't seen the LC 4 sale here. Have u got a link? His 'n hers sounds a good idea (not). When Mrs LC turned 25, I got an insurance quote for her to drive it thinking it would be £800. They quoted £80 - bugger. I'm unning out of excuses now.

Dave, just tried to post link and saw that you had found the advert in question ! Tempted ?!?!?
Funny you mention insurance, a certain someone has been on at me (thanks Julia !!) to get a quote for her to drive the Scoob, I've just done it, and they've added C for free......... no **** !! I couldn't believe it, so I now need to pluck up the courage and hand the keys over.....gulp.
Just ordered a new car for C too - tell you about it (or I'm sure she will) on Sat.

...not quite on thread for Saturdays meet, but handed the keys over last night
and, I have to say, pleasantly surprised...., I managed to sit in the passenger seat in relative comfort, and .... WAIT FOR IT.... even said "change down and hit the go button so that you can feel the turbo kick in"
Suffice to say, the "boss" drove it beautifully, and it may ("MAY") become a regular thing
That said, with the new motor being collected Sat (may be an extra car at the meet), I'm not sure she'll want to....
Anyway, BTTT !

May have another performance machine for the Eastbourne Massive.
A Mates has purchased an Mitsi EVO 5, we both go to collect it tommorrow (Friday)from Shoram.

Unfortunatly looks like he won't be able to make Saturday, as has made other arrangements. But is defo interested in joining us next time....

Thanks for the intro Scott - Hi All shame I wont be able to meet up with you all on Saturday, but I am sure there will be a next time. Hope all you hard core Scooby fans don't mind a traitor in the ranks with an Evo5. If its any conselation I have always had a pashion for Scoobs & Jap cars, just like Evo's more. Se ya all soon!
Nathan
It must be that you are excited - either the thought of showing off your new number plate or hoping Claire's hair looks nice. I think those are the key talking points for today.....oh....and mods of course!

Well before I go back to bed for a few hours I'd just like to say that Claire and I enjoyed ourselves this afternoon. It was nice to see the now regular members of the Eastbourne massive
and the new faces.
Thanks to everyone for the spirited drive which was good fun and thanks again to eveyone for sticking to the 30's and 40's it made the nationals all the more fun
I'll post the few pictures I got tomorrow.
Cheers
Nathan & Claire.

Yes, and nice to meet the newcomers, Mike and Tim. I think that was ten cars today, including Dave's Lotus? I never got to talk about half the things I meant to - oh well. I understand some of you think I was more excited about Glenn's wheels than he was - you are probably right! And I didn't get to go on the swings! Julia drove home - she fancied a bit of 'fling me round the cabin a bit' herself, if you know what I mean!
Nice to see you all!

Well, where do we start !!!
As has been said already, great to see everyone today, especially the new guys - hope you can make it again next time, and of course, it's up to all of us to gather a few more local Scoobs into the Massive
Ron / Claire - it's such a shame that the afternoon ended with the girls not happy, and Claire having spent most of the time keeping them entertained (especially after the trip to the hairdressers !
)Babysitter sounds good for next time, especially as theres talk already for 8th June, and to include ten pin bowling
Nathan, you're a bad bad man
you're encouraging me to spend more and more against my will....can't wait to catch up with you when we're back and check the latest mods
Keith / Julia - such a shame you had to go early, as like you Keith, many questions / chats to be had but so little time - still, at least we've found the secret to keeping you penned in, if you know what I mean, and boy does that old wagon move
Just need a new set of wheels, and to sort that Zorst
Steve, shame Donna couldn't make it, but GREAT to see such a clean P1 !!!!!! - I guess we have Mike's son to thank for that - perhaps we could be his first group buy Mike
Phil / Louise - great to actually catch up with you guys, and I was watching the smiles behind us
And to everyone else (especially the newbie (ponytail) who I didn't get to talk to or even find out your name, sorry m8, who are you)
Have fun y'all, and safe driving

Great to see everyone again, and a very nice sounding Zorst on S60 BKY or was it S600 YBK, not really sure :0)...
Drive round Birling Gap was a bit of fun, but the sort of fun that really should be had 'without' Oliver in the car.
Hopefully next time around I'll get to talk more and the in-laws may get called for babysitter duty.... He's a lively lad, but unfortunately at that age you can't just expect him to sit & stay....
I'm away from 24th May to 4th June In Devon with the Family & 22nd June to 27th June Hiking in Cumbria with a group from work. So hopefully the next meet won't clash with the above....
P.S If anyone is up for a spot of hiking in the Lake District on the above dates, your more than welcome. Just book yourself in at a B&B in Ambleside and we can sort out the finer details......

Great to meet everyone again, and good to see a few new faces aswell. Thanks to all for making it a very enjoyable afternoon. Sorry didn't get to speak to all - too much to say not enough time, oh and keeping an eye on Ethan doesn't help. Babysitter a must, me thinks!
Glen, great sound and superb wheels - money well spent. What's next?
Looking forward to next meet

Babysitting a must me feels, but also know how hard it can be. To get an early date in the diary, 8th June....start planning boys n girls !
Off to sunnier climes in a few short hours, have fun all.

Steve, sorry, just re-read your post with Caroline and realised there was a question there......... to answer it, at this stage, Eibachs, brakes, colour coding of side skirts / rear valance, de-cat downpipe (Keith, and you think it's loud now ??? :P ) and I think I'll then start on the interior.... I fancy plenty of ally / race type interior, but not sure yet, will have to wait and see ! (cos I also want to race hot rods and I have to start considering which one to spend the money on
It's all good fun

It's all good fun
Sorry I could not make it chaps, ok, I *could* have come along, but trust me when I say I needed to sleep on sat afternoon to prepare for the evening!
Hope to make the next one chaps.
