Please explain to him that JDM stands for Japanese Domestic Market.
What a numpty. I can understand the confusion if you are new to scoobies but once corrected, why continue to argue that black is white?

Tell him the look for the vehicle identification plate in the engine bay and check it to this -

http://www.scoobypedia.co.uk/index.p...ProductionRuns

If it is a classic JDM car, it will have a code to match one in the above link.

If not, it's a UK car (as above, it can't be both!), not STi, JDM, WRX, R or RA.

I'd say it was a uk turbo 2000 (judging by the rear lights)

Get him to take a photo of the heater controls (tell him the type R and rb5 are the only cars to have the slide switch for the heater controls )

Looks like an import to me. No manual aerial on drivers side pillar.

What's the difference between UK turbo rear lights and JDM rear lights BLU ??

Hilarious!

Just check the VIN and we can tell you exactly what car it is.

Mines a uk but has no pillar mounted aerial either! Mind you I've got JDM tail lights too

JDM

UK

Reflector in middle on UK clusters (to allow for inbuilt fog light) and to the inside on JDM clusters. JDMs also have another reflector on the wrap around part of the light UKs don't
