Xbox what's the point if.................
Since when has the PC EVER been a TRUE gaming platform.....NEVER. I know the XBOX *may* help PC ports happen, but most deals will be exclusive or time related.
With the XBOX you can have the best of both worlds...
A) A machine that only TOP END P.C.'s can equal (power wise)
B) Bringing forward technically enhanced games (arcadey console type)
C) In time a software catalogue that PC owners can only dream of.
I personally don't give a chuff whether or not it succeeds, I always buy any new import console cause I am soooo rich!!!
and I love wasting my money!!!!
Regards,
Shaun.

Also forgot to say, that when you switch on a console it works each time, every time.....no more GPF's for me
Also when people develop for the XBOX they only have to take that hardware into consideration. None of the this cross-peripheral compatibility issues. I doubt you would ever see any PC game pushing it's hardware to the limit.
At the end of the day, it's horses for courses.
Consoles for gaming.
PC's for nerding.
What the XBOX has done, is bridge the gap between advanced PC achitechture and the console gaming platform. Like with many consoles, IF the software is pushed, it's goodnight PC.

I play on pc and consoles.
I find the pc is better for harder/longer/more in depth games, whereas the console wins on ease of use (no waiting to boot!), quick fun games and a blast when your mates come round.
