Started to put the engine bay back to standard / original as I I've had enough of the Red Perrin stuff and Red Forged hoses, so while I was at it I gave the engine a good clean. The only things left to change are the Red Forged hoses which will be done when the new ones arrive from Japan as I could find anywhere in the UK that stocks them. Subaru dealers could have got them for me but at twice the price as I got them for.....

BEFORE....

AFTER.....

Anyone know if any companies do standard hight after market rear spring made for the saloon? I believe the oem were Spec C but are they the same as the hatch spec C? Just had one break so need a couple for the rear but don't want to lower it. Alternative is I pay subaru prices.

The rear springs for both UK/European WRX STI Hatch and Saloon changed at MY11 to 20380FG350 from 20380FG111

JDM model springs are different again and more numerous in variation.

Thanks Don

So is 20380FG350 the stiffer spec C spring? And where would be the best place to get a good price on them?

All I can say is 20380FG350 is the spring used on all UK WRX STI hatches and saloons from MY11 to MY13 (MY14 not imported)
Partsouq or Amayama seems to be the cheapest to import from and are in stock
https://partsouq.com/en/search/all?q=20380FG350
https://www.amayama.com/en/part/subaru/20380fg350

no idea on UK dealer price.

Very nice. I see you also have the optional STi SS backbox
What's the Ohlins like on pot holed B roads, is it stiff or crashy at all?

great observation on the STI SS back box some pictures for you before fitting and a clip.

the Ohlins are fantastic to be honest they can be dialled in to be more compliant to standard suspension by adjusting the rebound which is pretty easy to do on the fly both front and rear. I have them set at the Ohlins dukes Ted settings at the moment of 10 clicks from full hard front and rear, I've tried 8 but it's too harsh on rough roads although fantastic on smooth tarmac. They are 20 adjustments so you can dial in softer than standard and obviously they are full more compliant on rebound. HTH
