Quick fix is to use 8mm instead of 10mm bolts to connect each box to the Y pipe, gives you just a little extra play, worked a treat on my old one as they need to sit perfect.

Its nearing the time where I will be looking at new tyres. I have standard wheels on, and I am wondering what tyres you recommend / have fitted. I have a few in mind but would be nice to see what everyone is using.

You will probably get loads of recommendations but in my opinion for the road you can't go far wrong with Vredestein for a good value performance tyre ,great in the wet and dry.
Ran Ultrac Sessanta's (directional) previously but changed to vorti's recently (asymmetrical) and more than happy
Wear is good as well got about 18,000 miles out of the last set with a good mix of driving.

cheers
Matt

Evening guy's, is there a fuse just for the front fog lights which you can remove when fitting fog light covers or do you just pull the connectors to the bulbs ?, if so which one and how do you get the original surrounds out to fit the covers,

Cheers

Yes there is a fuse for the front fog relay in the fuse box by your right knee. (FB-9)
The front fog warning light will still come on.

Using a flat trim removal tool and insert it in the inside vertical seam and pop the cover off.

I saw one of us on the M18 yesterday morning. Anyone here?

Right, my warranty is almost up. What's safe power for one of these? Got a short ram K&N Typhoon I want to go on and a remap but I'm slightly nervous about doing anything to it..... Hence why I won't even fit the K&N without mapping.

get one of the good guys like David or Alan to do it, then at least when things are done they know what else needs a tweak to keep them pistons in order.

I ran 320 with just a MAP for 3 years without issues, but I'm not saying your will be the same ..

Id change pistons to be sure, then map it to 350 upwards.

400 450 wish was around 6 to 10 k to get her there safely

I'm building an M3 track car so there will be no forged pistons for least 18 months! Only small mods for the Scooby til then, as most of my money is tied up in that. I'd probably go to the guy at Richard Henry for it done, is that Alan or Andy, I forget?

I was hoping for about 350 but as said, I'd rather take 320/330 than risk damage.

Guys, do we already have the STI gearbox mount and STI Group N pitch stop mount?

I've just seen the SuperPro Front Gearbox Cross Member Isolator Mount on a store's website but had never heard of it before. Would you fit these with an uprated gearbox mount or instead of?

Any of you guys want a set of Nameless Performance axle back muffler delete with 4" staggered tips. I am de catted and have had to reorder axle back with 5" mufflers as the deletes with the de cat is like a jet. Costley mistake as in £750 costly. These have done 30 miles. £300. If your catted they sound awesome and are a direct fit on your Y pipe. De catted, snarly is not the word. Don't know how to post vid but if your friend me on FB you can here them on there.

What are you guys doing for rear brakes?

Had a right ordeal finding discs. I ordered some standard boggo Pagids from ECP to get me by until the fronts are ready as then I'll go for something tastier all round. That was when I discovered the handbrake adjustment is via the hole on the FRONT of the disc!

So I went back to ECP and found that one set of Brembo discs they list is also without said hole. Fingers are crossed now that the other set they do are correct. I find out in the morning.

In the midst of all this, I rang Subaru up and was quoted £204 + VAT per disk! Good job I was sitting down.

I managed to get a set of the PRODRIVE Eibach springs through the dealer gives a 10mm drop all round.

On your SpecC suspension you can have the ProR (Blue) springs.. gives the same drop.

Combine it with the STi strut brace you'll notice a difference over standard set up.. I have.
