All I need is for MB to offer whatever's up their sleeve to us already owners as a upgrade and not have to trade it in which I think is a remap and new turbo, bit like what Subaru did with the 320 and 340 I know the black edition is coming but I hope it's not that cos that will be stupid money
So where are the pictures of the 'beast' then?

Insurance time again, dam these cars are cheap to insure, almost makes up for the road tax!!

£330 for a standard STI, £448 for me for the 320r and all mods declared, got to be happy with that, and that's before I've even started calling around!

No commuting on that policy though as I don't need it.

None.

any UK warranty repair has only to last to the end of the three years. Although the repair has to be fit for purpose. So probably only had 7 day of engine warranty.

The uk dealer I used is very good and had good reputation. I'm sure they'd be fair.

Hence why I fitted forged pistons at my expense. And I ran it in for 900 miles and Oil changed.

What tyres you guys running now, MOT time and it will scrape though so need to get some asap, had Vreds on for the last few years and they have been great, but when I bought them they were about £50 a corner cheaper than everyone else, now Goodyear, Pirelli etc have all dropped their prices so opens up a lot more choice.

Any feedback appreciated.

Vreds are coming in at £126 a corner.

Cheers Don, yep they are coming in at £141 fitted and one of my options (along with Pirelli P Zero and Dunlop Sport Max Rt), how are you finding the grip and wear, also do they give any rim protection as the Vreds are a very narrow tyre, any pics?

on my A45 im runnign Dunlop Sportmax but i willbe shifting aleagnce to Michelins which i tend to find are the best there is, but everythings subject to your own usage and needs.

My Old Dunlops on my Old Scoob did 30k but tracked on the inside, even after tracking was done etc.

Black Circles are cheap by the looks, unsure of your wheel size

I run the 97Y XL version of the 245/40/18's with rim protection (MFS)

Grip has been excellent in the wet or dry and people keep asking me if they are new tyres, so wear rate is very good.

On an 18x8.5 rim (same as OEM wheels)

The colour is Plasma blue silica.

It's a totally different colour/shade to the old Dark blue mica versions.

Dark blue mica

Best price for me is generally elite direct as pretty local.

Cheers for the pic Don, certainly look a little chunkier than my Vreds but I am on a 8.5 rim so may give it s little more stretch.

Tempted just to try the Eagles for a change, did love them on my old MGF VVC, grip was emense!
