yes still got it, engine did not hold up it went bang big style last October. Piston ring jammed in bore forcing piston top to come off, which cracked cylinder liner and fractured block.

just got it back after a fully forge engine rebuild. The spec now is:-
2.5 closed deck block
Wossner Pistons
Carillo Rods
Fully nitrade crank
ACL race bearings
2lt sump and pickup pipe
14mm head stud conversion
Ported and polished heads
Tgv deletes
Air pump removed
GT spec headers with Harvey trick up pipe
VF 48 billet turbo
AP hard induction pipe
Perrin Cold air induction kit
NGK 7 spark plugs
Hrc 340 fuel pump

Its getting mapped on the 21st March, should be interesting to see what it makes.

Great spec. Look forward to seeing the results. The standard one did quite well considering the power you were running.
Still deciding what to do with mine. Do I change it or forge it?

Map it safely and drive it
*IF* it goes bang then forge it. Not all 2.5s go bang.

Lovely car Hughy, considered trying one myself - what's your view since you've had both (+s & -s)?

I've tried a few cars with Alcon set ups, I really like them. Yes trouble with BIG front brakes the car nose dives, spoiling the brake balance.

Even if I've just fitted a front pad brake upgrade I always fit the same pad to the rear, retaining the same balance. The classics weren't quite so bad TBH due to being lighter and higher percentage weight to front. IIRC
