Just testing the water as I may be selling my pride and joy but not sure what it's worth and if I do sell where would the best place be to advertise it.

I have put a lot of time into the car and spent a lot of money on it as those that have seen it can verify

The car is on a my60 plate it has 28k on the clock, full S/h and I got the car from Newcastle Subaru as it was there demo

Here is a list of mods and a few pic's, any advise on price and where the best place to sell if I do would be much appreciated,

Cheers

Hughy

I've had it 2years now phil, it only comes out the garage once or twice a month so it's not getting used that much, I may not sell but it's a lot of money just to leave sat in the garage ...

Completely agree with Hughy's reasons.

Mine is my daily and it's coming up to 40k on the clock. These cars are meant to be used.

If you do sell up, I'm after swapping that boot lid and spoiler for my low level one!

Haven't been on here for a while, just thought I would log in to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped and advised me along the way, it's been an enjoyable decade of ownership with ups and downs along the way just as of today the saloon is gone. No doubt I will see some of you around and as much as I say I won't be back we all know that it's a bug and we get drawn back in.

There will be a few bits up for grabs, from memory a

genuine jdm av panel which I have plastidip the silver so it matches the dash,
a perrin I drive cover,
perrin 2" stubby antenna and
a genuine duration (think that's the spelling) sti gear **** as fitted to the jdm sti's and possibly the spec c

Will get some pictures and prices up at some point

Thanks again

Steve

Guys, anyone seen any decent wheels that suit the saloon, after something different but must be good quality/high end as they will be replacing my Speedlines, really want BBS but not available in 114 and the only ones that are are only 8 wide which in my eyes is too narrow!

Well after a few weekends test driving other cars and being offered between £17,500 to £21,500 for mine I have decided to keep the car as nothing I test drove handled or performed like the Scooby and I never once had people stop walking and watch me go past them in the cars I test drove like they do when I'm in mine. I test drove a few cars including a Ford RS / Audi S3 / Audi S4 and a M3 and not one of them put a smile on my face like the Scooby does so thanks to them that gave there thoughts on the vale for mine but as I say she's staying with me for now..

Cheers

Good decision, your STi looks great and has been very tastefully modified, you would be MAD to give it away - sorry I mean sell it!

Still on the great wheel search.

Found some BBS in the correct PCD but they are only 8" wide rather than the standard 8.5", what are people's thoughts on dropping down half an inch, will I noticeably loose grip? I seem to recall the Prodrive GC-05's that were on Revolutions hatch being 8" wide!

The issue of rubber/grip is minimal for mr average. but biggest the difference in these will be to the rolling diameter. The change in rolling diameter is effected by both IIRC so check that against the RD of a std wheel

Ideally (although you can put wider on smallest and will balloon the tyres)
8" wheel the tyre width opt= 225 max = 235
8.5" wheel the tyre width opt= 245 max = 260

http://www.tyresave.co.uk/tyresize.html

The only othe effect is that the narrower wheel and tyre w my look not right to the arches and look wrong. But could be compensated by getting a lower ET but this is great if you can try on first. So I'd ask revelotution what they used

IMHO

Tony
