The 12 volt socket just under the heater controls, is it just a cover that's over it or is it a cigarette lighter?

Mine is missing just now

It's a power socket that can be used as a cigarette lighter if you buy the lighter part. what you see is a cover.

Phil dude I was talking about coming from the guys 54 plate wrx to the new my11 it's a complete redesign and a much nicer place to be. So I stand by my point ;-) And the refresh away from the silver to black makes a huge difference. Not only is a majority of the dash trim now black so are the seats and arm rest on the doors which helps to make it a nicer place to sit.

yep, that TopGear compilation of driving music is a must. But you can't beat sitting in a car park with your engine running watching a DVD of something! lol

Evening people, well its been a while coming so here goes. As some of you will know i was looking to either forge my 330s or trade in for a newer saloon. Well I took a drive up to Cross Roads and started the ball rolling to which they presented me a 60 plate saloon which had seen just a little mod or two,

basic spec is

A fully forged and pinned 2.5 block by the guys at Thwaites Developments
ScoobyClinic SC46 Billet Turbo
Decatted down pipe
AP 6 pot Brakes
AST Coil overs
19" GT2's
HT Auto s roof and boot spoiler

Since picking it up I have fitted a few bit and have tried to go a different way to most well from what i have seen in the UK anyaway. I have removed the front fogs and tried a different lip spoiler. No offence to anyone but the HT Auto s one just doesn't do it for me. so here is what has been done so far

Pro R front mesh kit (scoop, grill, front bumper and side bumper)
BasonR front lip (based on the charge speed version)
HT Autos bottom line kit
Genuine R205 Black fender badges
Rally Armour Mud flaps (red logo)
Perrin stubby antenna (to fit)
Matt Black wrapped the chrome window strips
Perrin Induction kit
Tdr Remap

and here is the end result, I hope you like

and the only copy of the graph I have.

plenty of future plans but for now its times to use it and enjoy it

cheers

steve

Yummy Steve!

If it was mine, all I would be doing next is a re-paint on the APs to blend them in with the car abit? (I personally dislike lairy brake colours)

But the BasonR splitter really sets the car off at the front!

Looks great buddy, splitter looks great along with the rest of the car, how's the quality of the BasonR splitter as had two from them, one pretty much oe, one shocking!

Oh, and to fit the fog covers did you have to remove the actual fogs? It's a mod on my hitlist but only if it was easily reversible, fogs for winter, covers for summer!

Cheers
Arron

Cheers mate, yeah I know what you mean over the Ap's. If it's was buying new I would of gone for the grey with yellow writing as they are more subtle.

Had a BasonR on the 330 and found both times the fit and finish was good. Considering the other choices are well let's say the cost of a cheap daily driver I can't complain. This one is based on the charge speed type 11 splitter, I wanted something different to the ht auto's one and couldn't justify the price of the sti one

The fogs covers are a direct fit mate. And sit over the bulbs so no need to remove the set up again for me the two help to make the front a little more aggressive which is what look I was going for

Yes kev that map tweak has made a shocking difference. It's like to different cars mate. This is how it should of been when I got it. although I think your CS will be running more power if it's a similar delivery you are one lucky guy as it's so much fun.

Cheers Phil, appreciate the kind words. Oh and the bulbs I got from you are the same fit. Did them when I had the bumper off and they make a nice touch so thank you.

Undecided on the side vents but I've bought them now so may as well leave them for the time being.

The ast's are great, might not be the best out there but they certainly give you the confidence to push the car further. Not as comfortable as the 330 obviously yet it's a happy trade off if that makes sense. The only issue I have so far is the rears clunk on certain roads, it's not a knock if that makes sense so i think some tweaks need to be made.

That is one cracking looking car... Really love the colour, tried to get a hatch in it but none available in the country so settled for silver which I like... but not as much

By the way do any of you suffer from irregular tickover? Most of the time mine is beautifully smooth @ about 600 to 800 rpm. But in the last couple of weeks it will start to fluctuate between 400 to 1100 rpm, this is when it's good and warm but its intermittent When the revs drop it feels as if it's going to stall and if you catch it on a dip as you move off its too easy to stall.

Right really fecked off with my handling. Dealer said they'll sort it but reckon better just to sort from scratch

Probably going for the LITCHFIELD Type20 suspension setup. Not bad at £2700. What do you lot reckon ??

I sold the ASTs and put ProR springs on. I thought be happier with just ProR springs but really regretted taking off ASTs

I feel I might just waste money going doing half a job and rally respect Iain's handling packages. Buy cheap buy twic

Ah - thought you still had the AST's.......... (tucked away in the garage )

Have you compared Strut/damper part numbers against what's fitted yet????
