Don't be daft ... Hondas hold their value - I would have ended up at a higher figure using Honda residuals.
My figure is painfully simple to work out - most cars are worth 50% of their new price at 36 months old ... that's a good starting point.
So, we reach £33,000/2 = £16,500.
Impreza's are unloved on the Used Car lots, which knocks another 20% Off = £13,200.
Factoring in a Private Sale Price as 15% Off a Used Car Lot Price = £11,220.
There you have it, hard, cold, facts.

I.M. have shot themselves in the foot with the pricing of the new cars, it didnt help with the yen being strong against the pound and it didnt help them making a total ***** up of the cosworth.
Also how many groups (ie I.M.) dont keep spares in stock? Ive been waiting for a sensor for oh, 3 weeks now as its got to come from japan as its not in stock, trouble is that is a basic sensor that should be kept in stock, damn you cant even get brake discs from IM, so tbh, ive totally gone off the idea getting anything from I.M. spare/parts wise, so it shows you that if you did buy a new car from them and anything went wrong, your car would be sitting at a dealership for 1-2 months whilst waiting for parts.
On the main point, take the pee out of PSL all you want but he probably has more years of subaru ownership than most on here, and he isnt the only one who thinks the prices/costs or the cars are as good as they should be, just look at the engine (2.5ltr) fiasco (yes its more common than you think) and the way they handled it, abismal

The problem with petrol head, sorry, dick head lewis, is that the vast majority of his posts are just trolling, any respect that he may have had on here is long gone, just wish he was too.

i thinks you are all missing a bit of a point ,
new sti in 2011 32k
standard turbo 2000 was 22 k in 1998
rb5 was 27k
and the p1 was 31k
So surley 32k for the new sti isnt that bad with the prices of parts , exchange rate , etc .....
ok i agree the cosworth is overpriced , but it is a cool car and 3500 to 4600 rpm is fun. We all know that the car is aimed at business people who dont know anything about the world of tuning and want to buy a car that is allready quick out of a box . and money is not really an issue to them .
As for p.s lewis he is laughing at us all he has nothing better to do than to be on here causing arguements . here is a link for you
http://www.hondacivicforum.co.uk/ind...a7fd8e304f5dec
I didnt know there was a problem with subaru parts to be honest , everything we order from im usually arives next day if ordered before 4pm.

Over the years that i've been on here, he's been that full of bull**** that I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even have a driving licence!

Now there are a lot of people on here who just want to talk about politics, make coments on how great/crap Apple are, post about how other people's for sale threads are all wrong, how they have become parents and how crap Subarus are. Oh let's not forget the ego contests either

But, it is plain for all to see that cars are cheaper now than 11 years ago!
Cheaper and better equiped.
I paid £22k + for my Wagon in May 2000 ..... would I pay that again for an Impreza Turbo? Not at all sure these days .........
£33k is simple laughable and anyone paying such an amount for a car which isn't what it once was .... a fallen Icon .... needs their bumps feeling IMO.
Anyway, this thread is about the 'amazing' 'fantastic' 'value' Finance Package which is anything but!!!

Either way, me spelling something wrong does not change the fact that you have always come across as a tosser who is just after attention.
It's a shame that when the forum was taken over the new owners/mods didn't have the ***** to keep your account locked!

And I can, did, get a Civic Type S GT 2.2 TDi for under £18,000 ...... at the same time I was quoted £27,500 for a 330 STi ...... no contest, and why I bought the Honda.
At £33,000 it is, quite simply, way too expensive IMO

Yeah, who is the sad little old man who just sits on myriad forums doing exactly what you do on here......?
'You bikers are all pansies'
'My Impreza is a lot better than all your Civics, and Id rather have a Type S than a Type R'
'My Civic is better than your Imprezas, blah blah'
The list goes on.
Do they not have a lights out policy in the mental home? If so its bed time Pete, go get your straitjacket on.

Just thought, the 29,000+ posts are just from this account too, I wonder how many you have actually made on ScoobyNet?!? Add, to that the other forums that you have obviously joined. You don't get out much do you?!?
You really are pathetic.
