LOL @ Matt.

Isn't it August where you are too

Well, just got back from the Dealer. They put the car on the Select Monitor and gues what .......... yep, no fault found

So on the way home, I give it a good blast, pull-up to a set of lights and guess what ...... yep, the idle problem comes back to haunt me.

Now, either it's a feature or there's a definite problem.

Any other ideas?

Stefan

Bring it over again Ozzy and we'll see what Delta Dash says now if you want - perhaps it is an intermittent problem, but you saw the log behaviour as well as I did. I don't trust dealers to be able to diagnose cars anymore. If you want I'll help you fit a new Lambda sensor from Halfords - needs a quick solder job as the plug is incompatible but not a massive issue and cheaper than the Subaru sensor - unless you are buying a downpipe in which case it would make sense to get it done then - they can break when you move them between downpipes. Cosie Convert posted the details of the sensor to get previously.

Thanks for the offer John.

I may take a trip over to that new Dealer in Falkirk tomorrow afternoon to get their opinion.

Derek @ AF Noble has always been very approachable and they were keen to look at the problem today. But if they only base faults on Select Monitor, then it might never get fixed. I never really pressed them for a solution, but I only saw it happen after a good 30min drive back home.

Hopefully the new Dealer will be keen on new business, so I'll try to see if they will supply a new Lamda sensor and if the problem is fixed, I'll claim it back from IM under warranty. That seems to be the way Dealers have to make claims anyway.

Stefan
