First run of the 30BT was good - seemed to be accurate, and used some of the side roads that my previous nav ignored.....

oh and the car was nice too!!!

keeping my right foot light was a challenge on the run to cardiff and back but kept it under 3000rpm!

Do you know if the Esso higher Octane fuel is OK - on the forum I only see folks talk of Tesco or Shell. Closest garages to me are both Esso

The workshop manual for the WRX STi states 98 Ron or above fuel only.

However both the 320R and 340R packages have been mapped for 97RON.
(Should have new orange sticker on fuel filler flap replacing OEM one)
As long as it's 97 or above it should be OK.

Some earlier models, for whatever reason, didn't like BP Ultimate, but as I've always run this and previous tuned Subarus on V-Power, I can't comment.

Tony you need a new thread, it's a 340r now! What does the r stand for?

I have the same problem with fuel, nearest Tesco and Shell is 30 miles away so lose most of the tank going back and forth! So far I have been lucky and timed refills around site visits but my alternative is BP or Esso. Based on the above is Esso Super better than BP then?

Ive used BP and Esso for the sole reason the Shell i used in leeds has been shut for ages near the M1, and the other one near Horsforth is a waste of fuel going.

I have both BP Esso and Murco close by all with 97,

Thanks Don - interesting, especially the Thorney tests - given Tesco's is actualy closest then i'll try running on that - better get my club card found!!

Mind you, as i'm running it in, then maybe its not going to make any odds till i've covered 1000 miles!

The "R" in 320R and 340R means AFAIK that the upgrades are part of the PRO-R range and uses PRO-R products/services

320R - 320ps (315BHP) remap plus Pioneer 320BT SatNav
340R - 340ps (336BHP) remap plus Pro-R cat replacement pipe and backbox/es.

Tony

Pretty straight forward, just gently/carefully prise the AV surround off starting at the bottom.

Page4 here...........

The rest follows.......

Bolsta chisel round the edge, couple of screws, bags of room behind, make sure you drop vents out thought which just pull off, cos this helps when you stuff all the wires back in

Hardist bit was lining the vents back up with the cheap plastic tubes

Urban, I'm surprised you haven't worked this out It's been posted before

320R - map + Satnav

The STI 320R version uses the same set-up but with an engine upgrade pack that takes power to 316hp and torque to 332lb ft at 3,400rpm (the standard STI has 296hp and 300lb ft at 4,000rpm). It also adds a Pioneer satellite navigation and stereo system .
340R - map + exhaust upgrades
