i think people probably are interested as it's a very nice type-r but the price would push you towards a diffrent car as already said, making it unsellable i think thats the point people are making, i suppose it depends how keen you are to sell really, i would keep it if i was you fella as it's very nice.

Another Type R, similar spec and quite a bit less than you are asking.

£8800 is still very strong money for this car.
To at least get some interest, I would knock it down to under £8K at least.
Market is very slow at the moment.

You really need to consider dropping the price now chap. The longer you keep it the less your going to get as the market really seems to be dropping still. It's such a shame that a car like this is not worth what it should be but it's just the way it is at the minute. You would be better taking a slight hit now rather than keeping it and taking a big hit later on when your desperate to sell. (trust me, I was in a similar position this time last year when trying to sell an Impreza).
Get it on Autotrader and Pistonheads with a really nice advert (pay the extra on PH for good advert) and some really good pictures. Price needs to be at a push £7995 ono to get some interest.
Good luck fella.

Even that is too high at the moment in my opinion.
If it had a engine rebuild may be. But with a standard block the most this will go for is £7k, more likely nearer to £6.5K.

Not trying to have a dig, just being honest.

Totally agree but didn't wanna kick the seller in the ***** any more than he has been.
You, I and most probably the seller know what the car is worth, its just If he can come to terms with it and advertise it at a realistic price.

I struggled to sell my V5 Type R V-ltd for £7k 2 years ago and that had an engine re-build and was a very clean car with a good spec...

Stunning car, price is a bit high though, would say 6.5k as the motor is standard.
