The real truth is the fastest car is the one with driver willing to take the most risk..... I'm not a racer but its lovely to have the power for the odd over-take...
Most the time the car sits in I-drive mode, enough power in that for day to day driving....
Hope you Enjoy, I am!

No no no.
Don't leave it in I-mode, leave it on S-mode.
At least it'll be responsive then.
I leave mine on sport until warmed up, but generally drive about in S# so long as I'm not driving about in towns/city centres etc.

Mark I have already ordered a dealer lip spoiler option
. I saw all your at K Prices and looked good but I'm after a different look to my last 4 scoobs. So not going for high level spoiler maybe a low hoop type.

A fair bit tbh, car drives better, power comes in earlier and lasts longer, could have gone for bigger numbers but Duncan held it back to about 345 due to there not being that much info on the hatch back when I had it done. Main reason was that I was not confident in the standard map and thought it was going to go pop anytime!

the the standard map IMHO
When I bought my last Hatch everyone on here recommended fitting a set of Rally Armour flaps because of the problems they had had in America in front of the rear wheel arches - wider track etc. Subaru then increased the size of the protecction film in that area in the UK but still everyone bought and fitted the flaps. I noticed you guys haven't bothered so how have you noticed any damage?

I assume yours is a 2.0ltr the uk is a 2.5ltr
In the uk we seem to measure the estimated engine power and not normally indicate the actual at the wheels. My JDM 2.0ltr produces 350bhp/350lbs ft. Which is roughly 260kw and 450nm. Also some euro quote PS and not BHP
The 2.5ltr has lower bhp but Higher Torque IIRC

Roo we've been the poor relation for a while in the UK. We don't even get the WR blue option.

Heres the Spec...

Pretty sure the JDM's are all 2ltr though.
Shame that the spoiler doesn't come as standard though, you'd have thought it was a bog standard addition. Strange, US influence ?
Have to say though having owned 3 MY99's modded and un-modded plus an unfortunate 3 years with an MY08 first gen before the power hike. I can say it come a long way and puts a mighty
on the face [if it weren't for the pesky cops with their speed cameras

Only having a slight issue with insurance
L & V who has insured all my scoobs for over 11 years declined to insure a Uk 320R or a 330S
yet insure both my last 2 JDM's 350+bhp cars
FFSTony
However the standard 320R upgrade takes this to 239Kw/450Nm
With a change of cat back exhaust you can easily increase that to 255Kw/488Nm
AFAIK the reason the saloon didn't come with a spoiler is that Subaru UK wanted to give people the option. However it wasn't until cars started to arrive in the UK, that Subaru Japan pointed out that in order to fit the high level spoiler a different trunk lid would be required (different holes in the double skin to access mount positions etc.). There are 3 variations of trunk lid listed for the saloon body.
Hence the talk of requiring a strengthened trunk lid.

Answering your questions in reverse order the original cars came with 221Kw/405Nm so same spec as Aus.

Cheers for the info, I'm a bit green on UK cars but I'll soon get up to speed now

I should know - used to have a dark grey hatch. The white is much faster (320 vs 300), plus its faster to wash - you can't see the water marks
